From the mid 1990s through about 2010, my uncle was a judge at the Markham courthouse. He said anytime there was a high or even medium (sorry rpb) profile case being tried, protestors would always show up. Some for murder, more for rape, a little more for child abuse.

But the only time he ever had trouble getting into the parking lot was when an animal cruelty case was on the docket. He said those sorts of cases always brought out hundreds if not thousands of people.

So we don’t put governors ( HA !) on cars to regulate speed or install mandatory breathalyzer devices in them so people can’t drive drunk BUT we are forcing people out of jobs for refusing to get a shot to protect others muh safety .

Hopefully rogue will be happy and one or two laws will be passed regarding driving, use of roads, and alcohol intake related to both. Clearly there are no safety laws on the books right now with regards to driving.

One damn time I hit around 115 in my Mustang on 88 way out near Thompson. I could see miles ahead and decided to give er a go. She easily touched 115 and still had some wattage in the cottage but I backed off. All I thought of was what if a fucking deer runs across the road I could get killed. That was about enough for me. Now I'm pretty much a 5mph over the limit guy everywhere and no more than 75 on the highway. Not worth it anymore.

I've never owned a car that could even begin to approach 160. Nor do I want to. 80 on an open highway is as fast enough for me.

This is so horrible. One life gone and the other now wasted. Horrifically , she (and presumably her dog) survived the crash. The Good Samaritan first on the scene couldn’t get the door open, so she was burned alive.
