No one has disputed his running prowess. The question was can he lead the ravens to victory with his arm in meaningful games. Tonight wasn't a meaningful game but the fact that he led a comeback via his arm mostly was quite impressive.

That was only ever a question amongst the ignorant and ill-informed.

Not really. Refer to his playoff losses. If you inserted 2021 Jackson into those games then maybe it's a different outcome. He's showing improvement. You're too quick to crown him. Let him earn it.

He is earning it. I'm not too quick to crown him, you and others are too quick to dismiss a player who hasn't won a SB in his first few years as a starter. As if him winning a SB this year would suddenly validate last year's criticisms when in reality it's precisely the opposite.

You all are happy to give Stafford over a dozen years to realize his "potential" but my guy Lamar needs to win a SB immediately or "there are questions about him". gtfo with that weak ass shit

You're all over the place here

It's clear Jackson needs to win games from the pocket if he wants to be a next-level QB. He failed to do that last year in the playoffs. This year he needed to prove he can win with his arm when the situation demanded it, sort of like what he had to do last night. That's my own measuring stick. Now, if he fails to meet that standard, then it's not like he's a bum. He's just not next-level.

I've never compared Stafford to Jackson and I don't think Stafford is a superstar. Here's hoping you can stop attributing positions to me that I've never held.

That's not true. Or are we pretending his playoff win doesn't count because he didn't win enough of them?

And it's not "all over the place" to bring up the hypocrisy in you crowning Stafford as a legit SB threat while failing to do the same for Lamar, despite the fact that Lamar has played 10 less seasons and already has a better resume than Stafford.

I clearly said Stafford cannot elevate a team by himself but can do damage when the cast around him is solid. I don't think that's outlandish to suggest. I agree that the Ravens do an injustice to Jackson by surrounding him with second rate WRs/TEs/RBs outside of Andrews. But I've always said even with a better cast we're going to need to see Jackson become a threat from the pocket. He was in the regular season last year but not against Tennesee, which is a game the Ravens were favored to win. And they would have had Lamar been capable of bringing them back. That was his Achilles heel last year. If he corrected that this year, then I'm on board with him as a QB phenom.

He's brought them from double digit deficits three times this season already. Including once against the Chefs. He's gotta be back in the MVP discussion again

Awesome - and that's been the only thing holding me back from joining FF and others on the Lamar hype train. He needs to demonstrate that capability.

No question. The team doesn't have one NFL caliber RB on the team right now either.

If you didn't watch the game and just looked at the stats you'd think Lamar Jackson had a good game.

Six yards per pass attempt. Simple math. Terrible game.

He ran for 115 yards, put up 34 points, came back from a 2 TD deficit and won the game. Every fan in the world would take that “terrible” game.

Just admit you’re a dumbass and tried spiking the ball way too early today

Gotta be more protective of the ball but he's again doing things a lot of people (me included) didn't see him doing previously. Andrews should have caught the TD throw.

Three double digit come back wins for Lamar so far this year.

It was always cute when folks pretended he couldnt do that.

Well, in 2019 he couldn't. In 2020 he was better but still failed. In 2021 that's like his speciality now. Good to see the growth.

Breaking news: young 1st round QB who won MVP in his 2nd year in the league continues to show improvement

If Hollywood didn't have the worst hands in the league your ff night would've been fine and the Ravens likely win

Brown is amassing targets like he's devonte Adams or something. Baltimore really needs to address the mediocre skill position thing or they're just gonna waste Jackson's prime.

Bateman's going to be very good. Dobbins looked really good too last year in limited time. They've been trying. Hollywood just isn't very good.
