I'm expecting a big scoring night from Lonzo to fill the void left by the absence of Vuk

I'm not.

I know

For a lifelong hoops guy it's bizarre you think there's one way and only one way for a player to contribute.

A little presumptuous don't you think? As a lifelong hoops fan and a dude that played a little bit in my day I understand the importance of being able to score.

When one of team's top scorers is out someone has to pick up the slack. Being that Lonzo is one of the key (yesterday it appeared that your argument was that he was the main reason) reasons for the turnaround, it should be him don't you think. If Zach and Derozan put up normal numbers, then in theory the guy to pick up the slack should be Lonzo.

And "contribute" is an ambiguous sports term that guys use to compensate for the inadequacies of guys that they happen to like. i.e. Drayton Greene. AKA Triple Single

By "help" or "contrubute" what exactly are you talking? What do you expect him to do that will contribute to a win tonight?

Play good defense, hit his threes, keep the ball moving, create easy buckets for other guys

Again Ambiguous. "Hit 3's" could mean 2 for 8 from 3. "Create easy buckets for guys" could be his usual 4 assists. "Keep the ball moving" could mean simply moving the ball around the perimeter.

That isn't really having much impact. Particularly being a "main guy" for a team's success. He should be able to step up his normal production without having to over do it with one of his main guys out.
And have real, not imaginary impact.

The Bulls have the 2nd best record in the NBA right now with Lonzo as a big contributor. That's real. The only thing imaginary is what you think you're seeing when watching Lonzo play

Lonzo Ball is about the 5th best reason for that 2nd best record. That's like saying that Kyle Kuzma was a "big contributor" with regards to the Lakers winning the Championship 2 years ago.

Or that Jae Crowder was a "big contributor" in terms of Phoenix getting to the Finals last year.

There are 3 main guys that will "help" determine the fate of the Bulls this season. Lonzo Ball isn't one of them.

You've been wrong all season so far on Lonzo and seem determined to stay on that path. Godspeed.

Spoken like a guy that is simply out of options. You have been wrong about Lonzo since day 1 but you (nor Shakes) will ever admit it.

Me and 312 took a victory lap a long time ago on this. The goal post has already been moved from "stud" to "very good" to "good" and seemingly big contributor.

They are winning with him as their PG (which I predicted in Aug) and not because of him.

The 3 main reasons are Derozan, Lavine, and Vuk, That's it. But we will see how it plays out the rest of the way. If he is anywhere near the difference maker you believe him to be then they should be at least 2nd Round of the playoffs. Especially playing with the other 3 guys that I just mentioned.

You did, which was hilarious since he's now proving you both wrong and it's on your favorite team so you have no choice but to watch

The puzzling thing to me is that LTG seems to value scoring over defense when it comes to Lonzo, but then disparages one of the best shooters in league history (Steph) because he's weak on D.

One of the best? You don't need to join in on the disparaging my man

2-1 on the road trip so far. Really wish we had a better showing against GS but the team rebounded well by beating a hot Clipper team and then demolishing AD and the Lakers. Would have been sweeter if LeBron was there too. Impressive so far.

Bring on any team in the fucking league and I’m not scared at all. This team can go toe to toe with anyone.

This isn’t some meme or feelgood thing. The Bulls are legitimately one of the best teams in the NBA and an absolute championship contender
