Was out of the country for a couple of weeks, come back, turn on the Score, and the first thing I hear is Hampton interviewing Pete Carroll: "Y-y-y-ya know, C-c-c-coach, I-I-I- . . ."

Click.

Did I just tune in at a bad time? Has this show become any more listenable lately or is it still the train wreck predicted by many here?

I may be in the minority, but I kinda like the show.

The pulse aside, the portion that I heard this morning (about 30 minutes) was better than those first few days. Please realize this is a relative scale.

Hampton's stutter was less pronounced. However, Danimal seemed confused on the chronology of events in yesterday's Cub game.

Far be it from me to make fun of Dan's speech problem. He eventually gets it out.
I tend look past ex-footballer's mental lapses. Their brains have been sloshed around just a bit.
So far, I like the show.

I'm not making fun of it. But, it is there.

I imagine you would be more accepting of someone losing their mental faculties as they age.

I liked that a caller mentioned earlier that it was a pleasure talking to Larry's brain.

please Reason, don't let this show pound your listening habits into submission! Fight against the good night! This show is mind numbingly bad...it's so bad it would be better with Larry solo...

hmmm...

"LoHo solo better than" is a sentence I can't countenance. I'm not saying its wrong, just that I can't deal with the sentence...

Listening to today's barf-fest, I wonder if anyone goes to this lunch remote. I hear no background noise. I mean, hell, I'd rather have Buffone and OB flailing about in their frustrations as the lunch's entertainment, than this junkage.

This show is the 3rd best show on the Score. But so was Mike North's. So ...any better? Um, no.

I listened for a bit this morning and they did sound better. Although thet really couldn't have gotton worse. This the 1st time I heard LoHo counter Hampton instead of licking his ass. Hampton was giving the typical meatball tirade (similar to Buffone and OB) about how the Bears defense lack the passion of say the Eagles or Steelers since all the contract extensions. Holmes countered that maybe they are just old and not that good anymore. Which is probably a little more acurate assumption.

I'm liking the show more too ... seems like Hamp is getting a bit fired up with this years Bear players :x . I wouldn't expect someone such as the Danimal to be too interested in baseball, after all he's a "football" hall of famer not Ron Santo.

well...as long as the Score takes him off my radio after football season...sure it's not his fault he doesn't know baseball from a hole in the wall (and his basketball knowedge will likely be priceless) but it is the Score for making him a permanent fixture on a show that was already awful.
