I know it is a little premature but...
Will they make the Cubs play day games on the Friday and Sat games as per the agreement with the City About no night games on weekends? If so that's gonna play hell with the players and give our boys a slight advantage . Plus I do not think the Tv people are too happy about it

IIRC, the only day games for the playoffs are during the A/NLDS. In '03 NLCS, there were night games at Wrigley.

When it comes to October, TV contracts trump any Chicago ordinance up there. If the Cubs had made the WS in 1984, the home games would have been played at Comiskey because Wrigley didn't have lights yet.

There is some sort of an exemption from the city for the playoff night games - remember, Alex Gonzalez couldn't field that grounder for a DP in game 6 of the NLCS because he lost it in the lights.

At least, that's the story I'm going with.

Now c'mon....if Bartman didn't lose anything in the lights, do you really expect us to believe Alex did?

Bartman also lost it in the lights - he usually catches those clean.

You would defiantly hang out?? Are you going to wear your shorts around your thighs showing your boxers? Are you going to wear socks with your sandals? Are you going to wear a visor backwards and upside down?

Chaz + chaspoppcap= MATCH!

I think it was determined some 20 years ago when lights were installed at Wrigley, folks. Television dictates when the Cubs will play, regardless if it's Turner/TBS Sports and/or FOX Sports broadcasting the games next month. If I'm an executive in Atlanta at Turner or in Los Angeles at FOX, the Cubs & the World Champion Red Sox need to be there beyond Round 1. The Yankees won't be there this time for the casual fan who doesn't follow Bud Selig's Major League Baseball until this time of the year...A Cubs or Red Sox first round exit could possibly mean a decline in ratings & overall interest in MLB's upcoming postseason.

From Yankee Doodle Dandy, with James Cagney-a true classic.

As sacred as this may seem, if the Cubs didn't get lights at Wrigley Field back in the '80s, there was actually talk that the Northsiders would've played their "home" games in...St. Louis, back when Busch Stadium had Astroturf! Trust me, that wouldn't sit well with Cub fans, let alone Cardinal fans if the Cubs had to play "home" games down there because lights was such an issue, especially with MLB's broadcast partners NBC & ABC Sports back in the day...

Frank? Do you need to post 3 stupid things a day to maintain your southsider mens club standing?

To even think that an agreement with FOX or WJYS would somehow become a legally binding document upon the City of Chicago exemplifies your White Sox affiliation and puts you in the dumbest 5% of Americans.

On the brightside, I think you are eligible for mentally handicapped status, getting you really good parking spots.

And while the rumor exists about 1984 and playing games at Comiskey, it was discussed but would have never happened. This one I will give you a pass as I can only assume you were about 6 or 7 years old, wearing your Tony Bernazard Jersey in your crib.

  Wait - are you questioning the "Great Frank"? You sir, should expect some gratuitous profanity heading your way.
