This has been pointed out before—he’s fast, but not elusive like Wilson, Rodgers, Murray, Jackson, (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky…

I disagree which this. He looks plenty elusive when he’s decisive. He’s slow to make decisions which makes things look worse than they are.

Not what I’m seeing. He doesn’t seem to extend plays very often with his agility. He’s not tearing it up as a rusher, on the last third down he couldn’t make the one tackler miss.

Thought his knee got twisted, but it looks like they immediately unsnapped his rib guard in the pop-up tent, so maybe a rib injury?

Maybe they’re setting up a dramatic 4th quarter Fields return to save the day.

Doubtful . I don’t see how he can replace Fields production .

Great contrast today with Roman vs Nagy and Co.

An actual coach, vs a corporate motivational speaker.

The Next Gen Stats graphic that shows how all the X’s and O’s moved on the play is pretty cool.

He’s indecisive, struggles as a rookie to read defenses after the snap, plays behind a bad O-line that can’t pass block, has receivers that can’t get separation, and terrible play calling.

All of that adds up. And that’s why you aren’t seeing it much. But there’s been games where he’s been really decisive and looked great moving around. Only a couple that we’ve seen, but Fields not having it in him physically isn’t the issue, busy mind equals slow feet. And that’s what I’m seeing. It’s a processing issue. Fields isn’t good at processing at an NFL level right now.

So does Nagy want Dalton to succeed or is it better for him going forward if he looks lousy?

Agreed. He may be able to outrun you but he's not making many people miss like other "fast" quarterbacks.

First two plays for Dalton are a play-action and screen. Nagy is a weird dude.

The Bears playing hard for Dalton and not Fields is just an example of how racism is alive and well in the NFL.
