We usually buy Stubbs! Should have clarified was looking for a local/non grocery store brand for a gift.

It's a Carolina style so it is a bit more mustard/vinegar based.

It's fantastic. They sell it at Bass.

Excellent on pork. Wouldn't be my first choice for beef. But it would work.

Not sure about local, but Ace Hardware sells a number of boutique type brands of sauces and rubs.

That is weird isn't it? They also sell small batch root beers.

It's weird how many good food products we've found at ace. Tru pickles are excellent. good idea to look there.

You’re near Downers Grove, right? Wannemaker’s on Ogden has a big grill and sauce/rub section.

Big fan of Stubb's Sticky Sweet.

Was introduced to this stuff in the fall. Their original is insanely good.

Pro tip - they have stuff you haven't heard of. It's mostly not good.

Go to Standard Market and get some Hank's or that Woodman's in Aurora sometimes has Point Brewery root beer.

Sprecher's is a real solid choice and can be found everywhere. Might have one now.

The amount of old pops at the Ace in Princeton is outstanding. It’s a great store, about the only thing they don’t sell is firearms but if you ask Lindsay, she probably knows a guy. I could do with a hanks root beer or black cherry right about now though. That would be good.

Not bbq but I have been on an Uncle Joe’s Jerk sauce kick. I guess they have a restaurant in Chicago but they sell the sauce in local grocery stores.
