Seeing some twitter speculation that with his connections with Justin Fields that he could be the next head coach.

No thanks.

Would not be any where close to my top list.

I don't see Ron Riveria being fired, and I still think the Bears would be a more attractive NFL job.

just for once hire the gm/coach the correct way.

but in case you run back the last hiring process again, i checked and ernie acorsi appears to be 80 years old and not dead

Not my 1st choice either.. but he’s not a bad coach imo.. that said if you’re going college, get Harbaugh. He’s crazy and it will most likely blow up after a few years but he’s a damn good coach

I don't know if he's a good coach or not. It's hard to tell when someone is handed the keys to a football factory. They haven't declined, but he hasn't built a program and hasn't had the time to have sustained success at OSU.

For the last couple of weeks, Kaplan has been insisting the Bears need to whatever they can to hire Ryan Day. Yesterday he said they have to hire a coach with previous NFL HC experience in the NFL, which excludes Day.

Todd Bowles is my guy.

Obviously he must be accompanied by a great OC. Shannahan would fit that role perfectly if he is fired in SF.

I like Bowles, but any really good offensive coordinator will leave after any success. I would prefer some young offensive guy with NFL blue blood or a somewhat older lifer that has some innovative ideas. I would not want Ryan Day anywhere near the Bears and I doubt he would leave Ohio State.

I do not want the Bears to have an identity as a great defense/shitty offense. We've had enough failure with that. Give me an average defense and an electric offense.

If the Rams are one and done in the playoffs is Sean McVay fired? The Bears would have to pounce if he's available

I'm fine with the Cutler Bears, but obviously with a better quarterback.

Maybe you can get Sean McVay as OC if Shanahan isn’t available

The 49ers are very unlikely to fire Shanahan after giving up that draft capital. I think he'll be gone in a few years because of the Lance pick. Belichick played him.

I'd take shanahan as HC

Very unlikely is a big understatement. It’s an absurd suggestion

I bet.

Guessing you’d take McVay, Reid, and Payton too

Payton is a good fallback option in case belichik turns us down.

Get Tomlin as HC, Belichick as DC, and McVay as OC. Would at least give the coaching staff a punchers chance against GB’s current staff

There's no way we can get McCay as oc. That's just crazy. Now Bruce arians is a possibility.

You pounce on Mcvay as head coach obviously if he's available. The Rams problems are cause of the GM playing real life fantasy football

Pack are 14-14 in the playoffs this century, 10-14 if you remove their SB run. They all sound like Cubs fans, we won a bunch of meaningless garbage division titles!!!!!

This comes directly after your troll better comment?

Spoiler alert for some of you idiots - none of these highly respected coaches are getting fired. You’re getting another Nagy type. Maybe it will work out

I’ll say it again -Jim Harbaugh. He’s got a good track record in the NFL, he has history here, and he knows how to handle a QB.. plus he’s crazy as hell. The fan base would love him.

I think he’d leave Michigan if the Bears gave him the keys.

Brian Kelly once employed Matt LaFluer and Robert Salah as graduate assistants. Point being, the Kelly tree bears fruit.

So here’s what ya do…

Hire Kelly. He’s in demand. Ladies like him, men want to be him. Let him hire a staff, then after a few years, figure out which one of those guys is actually good at being a coach. Fire Kelly, hire that guy (or girl!).

Then boom, a couple playoff appearances. No championships obviously, but beats the Nagy era.
