I don't know what the thread is about, but the linked article is from 2015, shortly after Kramer attempted suicide.

The story that followed was presented here before, and is a tragedy, for sure. I am sure Kramer is in fact, desperate, and likely broke. He certainly does not need CFMB piling on.

Kramer's life is a horribly sad story.

If I can piece together what is being said here, if the Bears are offering him $1 million, I think that is a tremendous gesture from the McCaskey family and I hope it is true.

its not for free. he has to play the remainder of the season at quarterback. i would refuse the $1mil if i were him, life isnt that bad.

I recall reading about Kramer and his wife sharing a high five after he signed his Bears contract. I thought it was a cool moment for a couple who probably had some uncertain times with Kramer spending time in the CFL. It's sad to know all that it was all downhill for them from there and not just in a football sense. Speaking of football though, Kramer still hold Bears single season records for yards (3838) and TDs (29).

wow, i just read about him and the troubles he has been through since his playing career ended. I had no idea. What a sad story and I hope he has things pulled back together for himself.
