Lost at least ten regular season games in 2021, which will more than likely be 11-12 losses by season's end.
Lost 2 playoff games.

If you want to stick your head in the sand and put that ALL on Khalil Mack, then go right ahead.

No 1 player has had more of a negative impact since Mack arrived. It's not even close. I never put it ALL on him, but he gets a significant portion of the blame.

Wow, really hard to talk football with someone that apparently knows absolutely nothing about football, but will get out the crayons and try to explain it. If you watch the game, you will see Peters singled up on Mack, especially on the last drive when Foles was able to keep the drive alive by dumping passes of to TE's, you do realize that if Mack was able to beat Peters they would have been forced to at least chip him with a TE? I'm hoping you have at least that basic level of football acumen.

However, you should not be ashamed of yourself, most football dopes like yourself like to watch the pretty skill position guys and have no understanding of the difference a quality offensive line makes, why even a journeyman like Foles can win if his offensive lineman wins the one on one battle with the other teams highest paid player all game long.

Understanding this will go a long way to helping you understand why the Bears offense sucks so much, good luck with your journey young grasshopper.

Classic missing the forest for the trees kind of post. 16 points yielded is an excellent performance in today's NFL. Your critique suggests your standard for an acceptable performance is 0 yards given up and 0 points yielded. I don't think you've been informed that such a performance is simply impossible. You can thank me after you stick your crayons up your ass.

Classic just looking at one stat and acting like it's an end all be all argument. The next week the 14th ranked scoring and yardage defense of the Saints held the Eagles to 14 points and won. By my calculations, since the Bears scored 15, all the Super Bowl caliber D had to do was match the performance of a completely middle of the pack defense and they would have won.

Mack's contract, ouchiness, and inconsistent play has definitely hurt the Bears since the double doink, but I would say that continuing to get the QB position wrong and Matt Nagy have to own much more of the blame than Khalil Mack does.

They had already drafted the wrong quarterback before Mack arrived and then neutered whatever ceiling he may have had. The Bears could have still won with a mediocre (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky and a bad Nagy if Mack lived up to his end of the deal.

Mack Effect:
Lost 2 first round draft picks
Lost a 3rd round pick
Lost a 6th round pick
Lost $141M
Lost a great defensive coordinator
Lost most of Fangio's defensive staff

Lost developmental years
Lost additional capital trying to stack the defense for Mack
Lost 3 seasons expecting the defense to carry the team
Lost about a season from Mack because of injury
Mediocre to awful production after getting injured against the Dolphins in 2018.

That's a weird criticism because if the defense wasn't any good in 2018 and most of 2019 nobody would have wanted those guys.

That is just not true.

They gave up a late touchdown AFTER being given the lead in the 4th quarter. That's something that our defense as consistently done in recent years. Unlike the Lovie defense or some of our better defenses in the past.

To be expected imo, the D is gassed, the time of possession is 2.5 or 3 to 1.

ToP was 30:48-29:12 in the playoff game.

Still not factoring in Mack getting paid like a QB in this equation

I know you're trolling here because you're a live in the moment, win now kind of fan. And that's fine. So if you were consistent and the Bears were your team, you'd love the trade for the chance it gave the Bears to get to the SB. It was a SB defense that the offense squandered.

The offense was squandered in part because of how many resources were dedicated to a single player, one that fell of a cliff during that same "legit SB contender" year

Oh, so I just have to have faith that Ryan Pace will make $20 million worth of quality free agent signings.

Oh young grasshopper you seem to be ignoring the obvious facts stated in order to avoid the fact you were unable to snatch the pebble from hand. When you trade what you traded for Mack and pay him the highest salary in the league, you expect him to make impact plays, especially in a playoff game. Maybe you should follow Olin as your sensei grasshopper, you will soon learn the value of offensive line play and why having a LT win the one on one battle with a supposed difference making OLB completely changes a game plan and then exposes the OLB for getting his ass kicked by the LT as what Nas described as a thief.

Can add thieving Eddie Goldman, guy looks disinterested at best, getting stood up and pushed around by Packer back OL.

In the second half the Pack got serious and started pounding the ball right up the middle, at that point you were missing Mack, Trevathan, Hicks, and Goldman was rotating in and was what could be best described as ineffective when he was on the field, Eddie Jackson is out there, but also looks to be making business decisions when it comes to physical contact with opposing players. You basically had over $45 million of your salary cap on defense either unavailable or playing at a level way below their cap number.

The moves on offense are somewhat obvious, but a bunch of defensive vets could easily be replaced with guys making much less. Whoever comes in next year will have to put an end to the "be you" mindset on this team, it will likely take several years to detoxify the Pace/Nagy stink from the roster.
