Godwin out for the year plus some guy on defense I think. TB is done.

More and more suspiciously breaking the Pack's way.

Don’t the Packers have a bunch of injured linemen, a TE that is out, and a QB with an injured toe?

Tom Brady = system QB, sad that he can't elevate his teammates to victory but they have to carry him.

According to the injury tracking website Man Games Lost, the Packers are tied alongside the Ravens as the most injured team in the NFL this season in terms of games missed by high-impact players.

Some people like to make excuses for these types of things. Other teams just fight through them to have the best record in the NFL anyway.

Does make ya wonder what Rodgers would've done with a real head coach and even one Megatron type receiver in his career.

This is why they need so much help from the refs.

Yup, things are looking better and better for the Pack with each passing day. A Super Bowl victory is inevitable. Anything less is unimaginable.

Saints remaining schedule favors them getting in over the hapless Vikings. Payton owns both the Bucs and the Pack. Saints gonna run the table and win the Super Bowl with a creaky old mormon at QB, becoming the 3rd or 4th? Mormon QB to win a Super Bowl. Danny White, Steve Young, Jim McMahon? Name doesn't seem very mormon, but he played QB for BYU

it's more likely the saints blew their load shutting out the bucs, and the dolphins eat them alive...then they get divisioned out.

Yeah but you had the Chiefs as “soft and declining” a few weeks ago, so…

...So what's your point exactly? Are you taking the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl? Do they look as good to you as they did a couple years ago? Does their overall physicality impress you? What exactly are you disputing? Be specific.

They look good lately. Not as good as the past but thats the theme of this year in the NFL, which you don’t seem to acknowledge. There is no great team.

Packers
Chiefs
Bucs
49ers

Would be my top 4 teams in that order. And then theres another 6-8 teams that could easily win the SB this year. Thats been the major narrative of the entire NFL season this entire year. Have you just not been paying attention?

So you're saying the Packers don't look as good as they did last year? They look better than last year to me. I have already said on a number of occasions that I don't think the Chiefs are as good as they have been in the past and that Tampa hasn't looked that good for most of the season, so your comments above are largely inaccurate.

You are saying that the 49ers could "easily" win the Super Bowl and yet have the temerity to ask whether or not I am paying attention? OK.

My comments above are not inaccurate. Basically the entire NFL media landscape agrees with me and nobody agrees with you. This season has been defined by parity, the lack of a true great team, and the fact that every contender has blemishes.

I said there are four teams i consider to be the best right now and then another 6-8 that could easily win the SB. If you wanna harp on the semantics of me using the word easily then just remove that word from my previous post and it still stands.

Do you have a point here that is not completely contradictory to everything that’s been written and said about this NFL season and the parity and attrition contained within it?

Or do you want to continue this little game where you pretend GB is the overwhelming favorite so you can emotionally hedge? You have already acknowledged GB winning the SB would cause you to go in to a depression so that seems to be your only angle here.

I was referring to your comments about my alleged lack of recognition that many of last year's strongest teams have fallen off. I agree with that point, except in the case of the Packers. You are either not paying attention to what I have said or are simply deliberately misrepresenting my statements. Either way, your pointless belligerence bores me.

I've said that I will "go into a depression" if the Packers win the Super Bowl? Find that quote for me.

I really have no idea what you're talking about, so do me the favor of producing the quote you mention above to enlighten me. If anyone is hedging here, it's you. You constantly trumpet the Packers' dominance here then get upset when someone echoes your thoughts.

Stealth edit? Are you denying that this year you mentioned something along the lines of it would depress you if GB won the SB so you are glad they will choke again?

I haven’t hedged a thing. For most of this year I have said that GB is the best team in the NFL and should be considered as such and that its a wide open field. All of that is still true. You on the other hand have vacillated between GB sucking to GB being the overwhelming favorite all while saying they are gonna choke.

There’s really not a debate about who has been hedging and why.

You're obviously confident I made the statement, so just produce the quote. Let's see exactly what it is I said and go from there.

I don't think I've ever claimed that the Packers suck. Again, you are very confident in your statements, so it shouldn't be a problem for you to produce that quote as well.

To your credit, I have recently pointed out that the Packers are likely to choke in the playoffs since that is the historical pattern, something I do take seriously. To paraphrase a wise man: History repeats itself--first as tragedy, then as farce.

And yes, your position on the Packers is consistently inconsistent since you simultaneously tout and doubt their dominance. Your unwillingness to recognize this fact demonstrates a pretty significant lack of self-understanding.

I'm not exactly sure what your point is about a "stealth edit". I made a post and then added two sentences a minute or two later. Are you accusing me of something specifically? If so, come out and say so directly.

I’m trying to understand your mindset and it’s a bizarre one but I think I get it.

You seem to be claiming that the best team in the NFL should always win the SB and anything less is a choke. Thats fine. I get it. But reality says that the best team in the league has a much greater chance of not winning the SB than winning it, and that has been true always. But don’t mistake me stating the facts of reality for being inconsistent when I’ve been much more consistent about GB than you all year.

You're changing the subject. Just produce the quotes.

I wouldn't bet against Tom Brady no matter how his team looks in the regular season.

It does seem foolhardy to doubt Brady, and yet the Bucs just don't seem to be playing with an edge in the second half of the season. Maybe they'll turn it on in the next couple of weeks, but they should've lost to the Packers last year (when Brady tried as hard as he could to give the game away) and they're not as good this year, especially without Godwin.
