Murph was the only voice of reason yesterday on Big Z, scary to say and think.

It seems like people (writers, fans, talk show hosts, web board posters) all just jump on one thing an "spin it" until something else comes up.

Why was I hearing the talk about Z's velocity (85 - 86) being way down one day...then I hear Murph and now read some other stuff about his last few pitches in the 5th inning were at 92 - 94? So what the fuck is it?

I agreed with Murph yesterday too. I think Z is a bit of a drama queen...and now one story that is out there is that the MRI & "stuff" is all a cover up because they don't want it known that Z was actually just PO'd and essentially "quit" during that game.

Whatever the case...I like what Pinella said. If he is ok, he'll pitch...if not we put Marshal in the rotation and move on. Fuck the drama....win some games!

I guess you can get lucky twice in a lifetime. The first was in talking Score management into giving him a job. Morph blows period!
