This show is a convention of idiots, with Buffone and OB the head idiots.

Fire McCaskey.
Fire Angelo.
Fire Lovey.
Get Rich Garcia for QB.
Where's Berrian?
Lovey says they "get off the bus running". (He did, I think, once, 3 years ago)
Why did they draft Benson?
Why did they draft Garrett Wolfe?
Why didn't they score from their own 25 with 7 seconds left? AT LEAST TRY, DAMMIT!
No killer instinct.
It's 2008 Doug! 2008!
Why aren't they in the no huddle? NO HUDDLE, DOUG?
Why don't they stretch the field?
What does Lovey have against scoring TDs?
Tillman's done a lot of good things????????????????????????????????????

Reality is that the Bears are conservative, and will preserve a FG attempt before taking a risk for a TD. Reality is also that when the Bears and Grossman took risks and interceptions occured (as they will in a passing game), the fans' hearts were all aflutter and it turned out they couldn't handle risk.

So were back to Shane Matthews. The QB is not strong enough or accurate enough to stretch the field, not mobile enough to buy time, and will never score from his own 25 on one play that involves a defensive pass interference call within FG range, a call refs haven't been making now for about 5 years. No sane coach would ever attempt such a nonsensical play anyway.

We have a game-manager QB so have a low risk, low reward offense that needs a thousand things to go right to manage an 80 yard drive, and great defense and special teams to have a chance to actually win a game.

Reality of this game also is that the Bears defense is nice, but not great, and blitzed through that 4th quarter and got burned.

The final reality is that Tillman's penalty was as bad and game-changing a penalty as I have ever seen. Tampa to attempt a punt from their own endzone to Daneal Manning standing at midfield. The Bears are a good punt blocking team, good return team, and could easily have had the ball within a first down of FG range.

Grossman should have never been sat, should be back next week, will be back to start or finish game 5.

Doug and OB have always been the leaders of the meatball crowd.

No way. That ship has sailed and they need to ride out Orton for as long as they can until Hanie can be groomed (can the Bears do that?) to take the helm.
The offense is working on timing and "feel" (Orton and Lloyd) and throwing Grossman back in there does not help the teams' future. I think the team is behind Kyle and know Rex is not back next year.

Just like Orton's passes.

Grossman comes back...I stop watching, as I prefer my Bears quarterbacks to be able to at least run forwards when under pressure....

BD, I'm a big fan of the Buffone/OB Postgame as well. Losses like the ones yesterday vs. Tampa Bay and Carolina give these two former Bears more than enough to vent their anger & frustration...Listen to those two at 10a next Monday on 670 "The SCORE" due to the Bears' second appearance on the "Al & John Show", better known as "Sunday Night Football", when the Bears get their clocks cleaned by the Eagles in another embarrassment...

I would also prefer to have my quarterback not under throw receivers on passing routes of 15 yards or more.

I am sure Lovie will take this under advisement.

Yeah Orton can run forwards when under pressure, but he couldnt hit an open reciever if his life depended on it, and when he does actually hit them in the hands, Davis drops it.

You might as well get ready to stop watching CoF, because I do not see any way that Grossman does not play at some point.

I don't know, from where I am sitting Orton is far closer to what I want in an NFL QB. It always amazed me that Grossman couldn't feel a 300+lbs man bearing down on him. That's just one of the things that amazed me about Grossman, in a negative way.

As far as Doug and OB, I like their show to some extent. Its something you could listen to fresh off a lobotomy, and gets old after 15 minutes, but at least they are brutally honest and every once and awhile provide some actual insight.

This show used to be a bit more collected than it is now. It's good to hear when the Bears win, but after a damning loss like this last one it just makes me feel as though the fan base I'm a part of grows collectively more stupid after every loss. Bears fans are so damn dramatic, and while I agree that a lot of our system has to change, it's impossible to start lynching people after 3 games.

I wasn't looking for Lovie to keep Grossman on the bench because I threaten not to watch. I also am not saying Orton's good. What I am saying is we know what Grossman gives us, and we don't have a large enough sample size of Orton. I still think they could make the playoffs if they can get to 2-2. I don't think Grossman will play. We'll see.

With this O-line I think it is a virtual lock that Grossman gets in at some point for an extended time. Heck with this O-line Hanie probably will as well and some scrub they pick up off the waiver wire
