The fact that Hub essentially said he wouldn’t have considered Rodgers even before the season is what makes this really hard to justify. Otherwise he could say he thought another player deserved it and there would be no controversy. It’s even possible he could argue the game he missed was a deciding factor and have a somewhat defensible (though weak) position. But he can’t point to in-season factors if he’s on record as having made up his mind before it began. Very dumb, even for Hub.

Misled the media, the team and the league knew his status. The media lies everyday to everybody, fuck the media, it is none of their business anyway.

Hub when finally confronted for attacking Aaron Rodgers back-pedaled. Now he's back-pedaling out of his apology claiming "temporary insanity".

What I did say I did not properly communicate what I was thinking. In fact, said some things that were downright childish & embarrassing that I said them. (What about the previous 20 times Hub's attacked Rodgers?)

Some great weasel Les now distancing himself from Hub. "I would say that we're not necessarily...friends...per se. I'd say we're colleagues. We've worked together since the 80s. I wouldn't call us close personal friends."

that's a circuitous route to get at Les.

Hub revealed that he (all voters) get paid for the service. That's good work if you can get it and I'd do everything to keep it as well.

I've never cared much about these post season awards, anyway. They do nothing for me as a fan. Same with the HOF. I'll shed no tears for that friendless douche Rogers.

How can you disrespect post-season awards? Dick Jauron and Nagy prove their value.

A sign of the times I guess.

Just the ex NFL players doing analysis on tv.

Ignoring the crap all spring and summer, his lies and overwhelming arrogance. Not to mention the appearances on the Pat McAfee show.

Hub can apologize and backpedal, but what he doesn't get is THIS is exactly the problem here.

You as a voter cannot make up your mind in advance of the season. YOU, HUB, are the problem here. That's awfully tough to do, considering Aaron Rodgers is exactly what Hub said he is. Doesn't make him not worthy of the MVP.

I’d hate to think people would challenge the quality of someone or something because that thing or person doesn’t agree with a particular worldview.

The best part of all this is the rest of the station acting like this is “shameful” and a negative sign of the times. Parkins is particular is clearly eating this all up and his ego loves every minute of it.

He loves the phrase “bad faith actors” and the word “ecosystem” when describing the current media.

Hub, Flakey, Crane Kenney, etc. used to be running punch lines at the station before they became synergistic partners.

North and Bernstein were both merciless on Hub when he hosted the Dick "It's not my show but I'm on that show" Jauron.

I was listening later last night and someone called in to Hub recalling the days of North. It was a funny walk down memory lane.

Hub's been taking cruel shots at Rodgers since the family feud came out. The Score voice is so tiny he thought he had nothing to worry about. And he's cheap shotting a hated anti-vaxxer white guy gentile. He'd still be doing it if it didn't go viral. And to top it off a fellow tribesmen stabbed him in the back asking him a leading question. He only apologizes because the bad press could cost him money and hurt his brand. He's apologizing for Tuesdays comments soiling MVP voting. Not the previous 20x his made cruel vicious Rodgers insults.

Guys, I reached out to Hub and got the full apology statement

Other than losing the vote, what does Hub care what people say. His comments play just fine in Chicago and at 69 (nice!) he isn't going to become a national commentator.

Well he blocked Rich Eisen for seemingly no reason so maybe he's a tad bit sensitive.
