Wouldn't mind a QB sneak every once in a while.

my favorite team ran back to back QB sneaks on 2nd and 3rd and 9 from their own 4 yard line in the 2nd quarter of a 3-point game.

Negativity sells

I’d rather they focus energy on tearing down Phillips and the McCaskeys. Bears’ issues don’t leave with Pace and Nagy.

Mama Bear isn't going to sell the team when her father is responsible for the league's existence. You may get a new team president, but the McCaskey's aren't leaving.

As soon as that old bag dies the team is sold, they have no choice.

I’m just pissed off that they didn’t fire him three weeks ago like everyone wanted because now they missed out on all those great candidates that were hired since then.

It was correct to fire them weeks ago - that would let your top candidates (Harbaugh, etc.) start to talk informally behind the scenes.

Right. There’s no way that if they were interested in Harbaugh they weren’t talking to him three weeks ago

You realize your hero Nagy pushed for the QB you currently hate correct?

How do they know it's wise to invest time in that if you don't know if the Bears are going to keep Pacy/Nagy. Just today we're seeing execs and coaches say they don't know what the Bears are doing in Biggs' story before the firings were announced.

You think that could happen clandestinely without Shefter or Rappaport reporting about it and thus putting the Bears in the media crosshairs for negotiating with a coach while Nagy is still employed?

Just fire him and then have those convos without having to wear disguises.

I don't know whether they would have been able to comply with the Rooney rule if they already have someone picked and signed.

Sounds like he alone will be making the decisions. I'm okay with that. Ted Phillips shouldn't be allowed to be near the room. Don't pass the buck to some corporate firm to find candidates either.

It happens all the time. It gets to the media when one side wants it known, mostly to get a raise from your current job.

LSU took Brian Kelly from Notre Dame and Kelly was literally on a recruiting trip for Notre Dame at the time while they were finalizing the contract. Kelly even had his lawyer with him on the plane flight.

They are not losing Jim Harbaugh because they didn’t fire Nagy three weeks ago. He either wants to coach here or he doesn’t. It means fuck all that they couldve been talking to him 3 weeks ago .

** IF ** George is smart....he will simply say it was time for the them to go. Pace and Nagy's records speak for themselves.

But George will thrown in meatball comments about how his mom's level of Anger.

this was the correct decision, but they will find a way to hire a new crappy GM...rinse and repeat.

Completely agree. Black Monday would have happened 3 weeks ago if that were true.

This is true. If it was Harbaugh it actually is the most justifiable reason for pretending like Nagy was still potentially keeping his job.

The national title game is tonight and there was a chance that Harbaugh would be coaching it. By keeping Nagy, they can "talk" to him later in the week after the title game is over and it gets rid of the idea that Harbaugh was "distracted".

So, they wasted a year on these two when it was patently obvious to everyone else at the end of last year.

It's amazing how many people bought into the (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky scapegoat theory.

I think most of us knew Mitch sucked, Nagy sucked and Pace sucked.

Yes....Pace should have been 100% tied to the Mitch draft. Once it was obvious Mitch was a bust....Pace should have been launched. It was quite clear at that point the head coach was also a mistake.
One year lost all said and done.

Some context is needed, the Mitch Trubiski/Nagy era also coexisted when the Bears had top 5 defense.

Even if you want to take out 2018, (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky was 14-10 his last two years here.
