The NFL has a salary cap and floor. Just because they have spent money on players, doesn't mean they AREN'T cheap. All teams have to spend money on players. They are still very cheap in many ways, and a very stupid organization to boot as well.

Has Schoen made comments about wanting Daboll to be his coach or is this just an assumption from both being from Buffalo?

Ive been reading a lot about the Giants loving Schoen and a lot of assumptions about Daboll, but nothing concrete linking the two. As quickly as the Giants interviewed Quinn after Schoen's second interview earlier this week leads me to believe Quinn's name must have come up on Schoen's short list of HC candidates.

I didn't know Marv Levy was still alive. He loves the idea of the Bears working with Bill Polian. He also says that he approves of the job Eisenhower is doing.

The Giants are expected to request permission to speak with former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores for the opening, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Flores' first choice of jobs would be the Giants, a source told Raanan. Flores is from Brooklyn and the Giants gig would represent a homecoming. He has already interviewed with Houston and Chicago.

Flores is probably the best match for the Giants, there is no QB to develop(he sucks) you just need a guy that can make them "not terrible".

I have kind of soured on Flores a little after reading more stuff. I am good with him going to the Giants.

They'll probably trade for Watson with all the draft capital they have. They may bounce back IF Barkley returns to form.

Flores seems like a decent coach but I am a little wary of that strong of a personality being Shoen's first hire.

them trading for Watson would be a colossal risk, i dont think there is any way they do that. That team is so bad investing in a QB for a short term fix would be a horrible decision to kick off a new GM's career. I think they use the draft picks or possibly draft down from one of them if the opportunity arises to accumulate more picks.

Giants are tanking to get Arch Manning in 2026.

That was my assumption but it looks like Mara really likes Flores.

I'm sure Flores has some personality issues, but when a team fires a coach that gets media and fan pushback and then a whole bunch of hit pieces come out on him, I take them with a grain of salt.

honestly, if Flores has the same vision as Schoen and the rest of the organization and he can hire guys for his staff that are on board with his methods and they can start winning games, I dont care how big of a prick he is or whose feelings he hurts.

I’m in Atlanta and have a buddy who is a huge dolphins fan here. So neither one of us are under local media influences. He hates Flores for the stories that have been leaked. But he was very open to Nagy going to Miami to work with tua.

I know out of town stupid goes both ways. But give me Flores.

Unless it’s Harbaugh, I’d rather they just nail down the GM and let him figure out the coach.

It does make one wonder what is going on. They have interviewed a ton of candidates and still have some left to go. Yet they already have a 2nd interview for HC with at least one candidate. You would sure think they would get the GM filled before moving on to 2nd interviews. I get having initial interviews out of the way, but not moving on in the process while you are still doing first interviews on the GM

you can't really draft a QB this year anyway, so it's Fields versus Jones in New York. I'd take Fields in that one.
