Yes, the idiot middle management drone should have been prepared better.
If you read the thread, this was a person from another department who didn't have the information about the exact responsibilities of this contract worker. The manager asked why he wasn't in the meeting and the response was "Yeah dude I was asleep. I basically never join those" and then got mad when the manager wrongfully said that the meetings are a requirement and responded with "Man that sucks for you guys".

If he had just immediately replied "Those meetings aren't part of the scope of my employment as a contract employee" then it works out much better.

I did read the thread, that's why I said the middle management guy should have prepared better. What he did certainly seems to have worked out better for him.

We need to get back to a place where nobody would put that out into the world for fear of being ostracized.

We've had a couple of 100+ car pile-ups over here, where the Lake Effect snow belt starts, as I-94 Westbound gets about 20 miles from the Lake. Zero visibility just pops up out of nowhere, along with two-inch-per-hour snow that makes everything slick right now. Surprisingly, usually few fatalities, but getting out of your car may be the worst idea for most participants!

I didn’t know where that was but it reminded me of the weather here in Philadelphia…then I looked it up and saw why. it
