At this point I would be thrilled with Quinn. I want nothing to do with Caldwell

I would be as well. I suspect Caldwell may be an assistant head coach to a younger guy. Maybe a Leftwich or Eberflus.

That would be better, but I dont see them having a guy in the building right now who is just going to be an assistant

Eberflus is a man! He's 50!

Quinn developed MANY young players on that Dallas defense.

Did he develop them, or did they just have some nice drafts?

Micah Parsons was pretty good to begin with

Parsons was obviously a great pick, but they lost some quality players in the off-season and he got the younger players progress and to play at a higher level.

I'm fine with Caldwell as a teacher for Fields as long as he's not the head coach. Either OC or even better Quarterback coach + associate head coach, someone to be on the sidelines with Fields while the OC is in the press box. Or hell, even special assistant to the GM.

But Caldwell as head coach, no.

I like the idea of Caldwell keeping the seat warm for Sean Payton.

He had to resign his last gig for health reasons and that was years ago.

like you, i'd prefer him in some consulting or assistant role, not even coordinator level. AHC title out of respect but his duties are QB coach.

Payton or Harbaugh are the only options to salvage this dumbass decision.

It would be the best non-Harbaugh hire they could do.
