What experience does he have in judging talent being that young?

That's where you need the veteran. Stupid Bears.

Poles is a GMINO, GM In Name Only.

The Bears own the Vikings. We outmaneuvered them for Fields and outbid them for Foles. Both future HoF talents. BEARS!!!

According to Mully and Haugh, Nagy was/is Poles' best friend. Jeez.

Is that really surprising? That KC group is pretty tight.

They all individually drafted Mahomes!

I don't know if it lasted the full hour but it was pretty painful. Over and over he referred to all of us listeners as being privileged and it is his job to help us think differently. I am certainly open to thinking differently but I was really hoping to learn something about the new Bears GM, a guy whom I had never heard of until an hour prior.

Larry sound quite bitter, but why wouldn't he, replaced on the Football Aftershow, do not see him teaching any classes, divorced, had to move, likely making much less, and lost his best producer, the last one may be the worst because his show is basically just two hours of replaying stuff from other shows.

When he has to react to breaking news the show slogs to crawl because he is intimidated by callers, nobody except Larry Holmes want to listen to Larry Holmes talk about anything for five minutes, let alone two hours.

Historically, the SCORE has been more critical of Coaches, Players, Management and Ownership than not. But, we're entering a period where almost the entire SCORE line-up in going to be in the tank for the Bears. We saw it last year with Fields. Going forward, anything bad that happens will be blamed on the Pace/Nagy regime and the George McCaskey's past decisions. The new GM, coaching staff and players are going to get a pass for years from the like of Parkins, Larry and Bernstein.

Hoping that he expands the head coaching search.

But if it remains the 3 listed I hope they go with the Eberflus. Give the guy a chance and see what he can do.

Better than hiring a retread.

The Score has been the voice of the status quo since it made its neoliberal turn with corporate consolidation and the rise of Bernstein in the late 90s. Since that point, the station has frequently made the culture of sports fans the chief target of its criticism rather than the city's culture of inept sports management and ownership. Bernstein played a crucial role in facilitating the station's transition from its populist to its reactionary neoliberal era by creating and refining a sports radio comic sensibility revolving around an aesthetic of humiliation. This aesthetic emphasized the stupidity and incompetence of ordinary people--often ridiculed as working class "meatballs"--and the wisdom of PMC "experts".

Not so sure. I kinda like the idea of having someone who isn't learning on the job.

I almost don’t care at this point. If he wants to hire a 25yr old who also drafted Mahomes, who gives a shit.

Didn't realized he's divorced but that makes sense. Can't imagine anything with a vagina that could stand him.

Larry Holmes, "Trying to get you to understand minority (GM) candidates have to make more concessions."

Poles is getting 100% control in hiring his head coach vs his white predecessor(Pace) who had an arranged marriage, but somehow it's white oppression at Halas Hall.

The Bears sell RC Cola. They have terrible concessions.

Leverage. Pace didn't have a division rival offering him the same job while he was interviewing with the Bears. Plus, for all of his flaws, George knows how to get his guy. He's a closer.

Generally when it comes to Bears coaches and GMs, us fans end up being the real victims.

K.C. reporter on the Score now discussing Poles' outstanding traits. According to her:

1) Humane
2) Detail-oriented
3) Complicated relationship with staplers
4) Cap smart
