Sounds like Rodgers and Adams love him. Like he may be the brains of the operation. I imagine GB is trying to offer him things to retain him.

They'd have to make him the playcaller.

Exactly. It also seems clear that LaFleur is in over his head, so it's best to get out while the getting is good. Working with Fields on a heavy play-action offense will get him a HC job, probably with the Packers, in two years.

Why hasn't he signed yet? Why are they interviewing somebody from Jax today? The Packers already have retained Stenovich and either he got a huge raised and a different title or he is the new OC as they were able to prevent him from interviewing with Denver.

Only a deadspin editor would think Pep didn't already fulfill that rule.

You start have to work just in case he goes to Denver or stays in GB. Besides, every guy who is allegedly being interviewed is happy to get their names tweeted. It opens up more future possibilities. I imagine some of these tweets are complete bullshit.

It's possible Pep could be coming in for QB Coach/Passing Game coordinator with Getsy as OC, so the Jax guy is the Rooney Rule for OC.

There is no way the Bears want Hamilton for the OC job. He will be the QB coach.

For some reason I’ve always thought Cutty ran Hamilton out of Chicago. He then lucked into Andrew Luck and road his coattails back to the NFL.

Interesting. No wonder the new GM was coy when asked if he would have the complete say on the 53 man roster.

If the Vikings sign him, Halas Hall should be nuked.

As a Vikings fan, it would be fun to sign Harbaugh just for the calamity that it would cause on Chicago sports radio. But, as a practical football matter, I think it would end up to be a disaster. Harbaugh is flaky...not quite Mike Ditka flaky, but in the neighborhood. He'd would last 3-4 years, win a couple playoff games...maybe. But, then he'd be headed to San Jose State or some other backwater NCAA school to wind down his career and count his money. I have no doubt that the 10 years 100 million dollar contract demand is real and Vikings ownership might just fall for it.

Ian Rapoport
@RapSheet
The #Bears are hiring Ian Cunningham as their new assistant GM, source says. A top lieutenant for Ryan Poles, and now the #Eagles lose a key front office member.

Other then the backwater school comment, I agree whole heartedly Augie.

JH will lead the Vikings to a SuperBowl in 3 years. I'm fuming. I want George McCaskey dead right now.

Asking for a 10 year guaranteed deal is not realistic Bob.

But good for him for trying.

The McCaskeys have wasted millions since they fired Lovie.

I'm looking at Harbaugh's coaching history. He appears to have a short shelf life.

He can win a Superbowl in 3 years, go on a bender and the McFuckUps can pay the remainder

He's won less Super Bowls then Aaron Rodgers, Bob.

Your man crush on him is cute though.

Harbaugh isn't leaving, Bob.

He's using this for leverage to get a Mel Tucker deal from Michigan

Probably so. In that case, I don't think not hiring him would hurt the Vikings owners that much. Vikings fans seem split 65-35ish on wanting Harbaugh. Bears fans would have rioted in front of Halas Hall if Harbaugh had met with ownership and they hadn't gotten a deal done.
