He shed the Lions grift off him tonight. But then again Jared Goff got the Rams to the SB 3 years ago

Hypothetical Matt Stafford threw a pick to seal the game for the 49ers.

Bum.

It didn't hurt to have Jimmy G on the other side.

Stafford may not be top 5 in the NFL, but if he were a Bear...he would be the Bears GOAT.

I'd take Stafford tomorrow if it were possible.

harsh reality there.

Happy for Stafford, good guy, buys up tickets to fill up the home stadium with local fans.

Although Cooper Kupp could make any QB in the NFL look good, not unlike Jerry Rice. Makes ya wonder if Matt Ryan was ever anything more than mediocre if he hadn't had Tony Gonzalez and Julio Jones to throw to all those seasons. Tom Brady as we've seen isn't fully Brady without the right receivers/tight ends. Other than recently with Davante Adams, Rodgers ever have a truly great--Megatron, Kupp, Gronk, Randy Moss, Julio Jones level receiver? Jordy Nelson is the only other consistently good target Rodgers has had, and was Nelson really all that good or did playing with Rodgers elevate him.

If I heard right, Kupp is statistically the best receiver in football. He sure gets himself wide open a lot. Like Rice, how does that happen? It used to drive me nuts. COVER the fucking guy because once he has it, then he does even more damage.

It is amazing, isn't it?

Some of these receivers are wide open more times in a single game than the entire Bears receiving corps has been over the past two seasons.

That was a brutal drop. But credit to Stafford, other than that he did enough to win. Looks like I was wrong and the trade was worth it.

It is crazy how good Kupp is now tho.

Great route runner with TWTW.

Guy from NFL Network was on their postgame and said that Kupp is amazing to come out of the snap absolutely identical every time. No head tilts, no change in stride or speed, every single route there are no tells.

Not bad for a 3rd round pick from Eastern Washington.

With the winnings, I'll organize another board bowling event.

Stafford isn't going to transform a team from nothing into a contender overnight, not like Manning or Brady could.

But I do think he can go to a good team like the Rams, with pieces already in place, and elevate them to places they haven't been before. I guess in the Rams' case that means a SB win since they already went to the SB with Goff.

I'm fine with saying that Stafford is good enough to get a 10-6 like the Rams back to the playoffs and beat teams they couldn't overcome with Goff.

Yep

At some point you just have to take him out of the game though, double cover him and let someone else beat you. If they win while throwing to the other receivers then so be it but you can’t let the best guy on the team beat you

Who would have guessed that it was hard to make a Super Bowl with the Lions?

Just saw this tidbit...It was Stafford's fifth win of the season (including the playoffs) against a team that finished with at least 10 wins. That matches his total in 12 years with the Lions.
