I'm sure it's hard to pass up an opportunity to work for NBC on Olympics coverage. But does anyone think it's a bit strange for a full-time talk show to miss, presumably, multiple weeks in a row for another professional opportunity? The timing of the NFL playoffs and the Bears' overhaul of the front office and coaching staff add to the poor timing. Could just be me, but this reflects on where she sees her future and that's on tv, not on radio.

She's an attractive woman covering sports. Of course she wants to be in TV over radio.

Caught a few minutes and he was talking about how he now realized how dangerous it was for him to go fishing during an off day at Bears camp because he could have slipped on rocks, and that was a part of a, "Great Bears Training Camp Stories", bit he was doing with Larry. Stories were all basically about them hanging at local bars and watching Bears players interact or the times when they were able to tag along with Uncle Doug, the stories inadvertently revealed how insignificant the current talents that make up the stations roster were at the time and continue to be to this very day, much like how the Murph stories all revolve around him trying to put together a radio show and them failing to produce the content he wanted.

All of the funny stories and bits are from stuff that happened years ago, apparently nothing the station has put out there for the past several years is even remotely entertaining or interesting.

That’s one thing I give Bernsie credit for. Fishing. He loves it and goes all over. I liked how they had a score golf outing and he was fishing the ponds.

Dan and Divorced Leery are both racebaiting assholes who legitimately stalk people they work with who they don’t like. Weird no one talks about it. On that note, why hasn’t Dan been canceled yet? Even at an event to meet/greet a few lucky/rich fans, he can't be troubled enough to join the commoners. Next time, push him in.

I wouldn't call it a stage. More like a broom closet - I heard her love two ridiculously softball questions to the USA hockey captain at the first intermission vs Canada yesterday. She wasn't on camera, and she didn't have a great microphone.

Leila's new thing seems to be to TALK REALLY LOUDLY intermittently throughout the show.

The vast majority of her contributions are still non sequiturs.

Leila (in the little I've listened) seems more assertive, making better points, talking longer, and seems to not want to be Bernstein's water boy any longer. Good for her!
