The highlight play of Stafford's 12 seasons/165 regular season games + 3 playoff losses in Detroit:

Good to see proof that the trade by the Rams was a good one, like MANY of us thought. I feel like somebody is missing from this conversation though.

it was a good trade. OBJ goes down and Stafford still wins with one really good receiver, a speed guy and a bunch of crap at WR and RB.

Gives me hope for the Bears. No way Goff wins that game.

and I made some money. I'll still bet very infrequently, that game was not good for my nerves.

Good, not great game IMO. A ton of three and outs. I loved the fact that the refs basically let the teams play with very few penalties being called until the final four minutes of the game when the refs shit the bed yet again. The missed facemask on Ramsey was brutal.

Over the last six weeks, Stafford has won as many playoff games as Rodgers has over the last six years.

nobody saw that live, at real speed it happened so quickly too. i think most viewers' eyes are trained to freak out when the offensive players head turns like that during a tackle but were just used to seeing defenders flailing that i didnt think anything of it until i saw the replay.

but why didn't the Rams challenge it? Can you no longer challenge offensive pass interference?

Then they need to put as many refs out there as it takes to not miss it. Put 2 extra refs 40 yards down the field on each sideline so they are already in position and not running with the play trying to see what’s going on

Fans watching the game may not have seen it live. Professional NFL referees, the best of the best for the year are at the Super Bowl, should not miss a penalty like that.

Ron Torbert says no foul occurred!

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/02/14/referee-ron-torbert-says-tee-higgins-did-not-grab-and-twist-jalen-ramseys-facemask/

Quote:
On Sunday, officials missed a possible offensive pass interference penalty on Tee Higgins and an obvious facemask penalty on him on the same play. Higgins grabbed Jalen Ramsey‘s facemask and turned the cornerback’s head before catching a 75-yard touchdown pass from Joe Burrow on the first play from scrimmage in the third quarter.

Referee Ron Torbert was asked in a pool report afterward why a penalty wasn’t called.

“The crew did not see any contact that warranted pass interference,” Tolbert said. “It was a contested catch, and the crew didn’t see any contact that rose to the level of pass interference.”

Torbert said his crew also didn’t see a “grab and twist” that would have resulted in a facemask penalty.

“Our rule is that if there is a grab and twist and turn, there’s enough for a foul,” Torbert said. “If there’s just a rake across the facemask, where there’s not a twist and turn, even if there’s a grab, there is no foul. The officials did not see any contact that rose to the level of a foul for a 15-yard facemask.”

Replay, though, showed otherwise as Higgins clearly turned Ramsey’s head. Officials missed a foul that should have negated the touchdown. Instead, the Bengals took a 17-13 lead, requiring a Rams’ comeback to win it.

It was a one and done rule (2019)

Ramsey had good enough position and keeping stride with Higgins that it might've been a pick absent Higgins attempting to decapitate Ramsey:

smart play by Higgins, well worth the risk to take out Ramsey and at minimum avoid the interception.

He's right.

Jim McMahon is more a Hall of Famer than Stafford.

Give it up. He's in. I shat on Stafford before this year, but for Christ sake they are letting bums like Leroy Butler in. Stafford has the counting numbers and now the Superbowl.

He's Chris Bosh.

If that's your Hall of Fame criteria, keep it

I don't think 4 Time All Pro's are bums that's for sure.

Chris Bosh isn’t top 10 all time in any statistical category in league history (while playing the most important position in team sports).

Stafford is the same piece of shit useless asshole he was in 2020.

Being carried to a Super Bowl championship doesn't change that.

He's a stat accumulating career loser.

Going to a star team and getting carried to a Super Bowl title doesn't change that for me.

I don't really think that is fair to him. Kupp and Donald are not like playing with Lebron and Wade. Not really even close.

He is the starting QB on the team, he controls a lot. Bosh was just along for the ride.

I appreciate the pashun. It’s a little too counter-punchy to be fire & pashun, but it’s at least halfway there.
