Watching now. Starting better. But a fact is a fact my good man. Tom Cruise should not be playing Jack Reacher.

I always liked Tom Cruise. My recollection of the first movie was that the end was just way too beyond belief. There's something about trained guys with automatic weapons not being able to hit one person.

I never read the books, so I just watched it like any other action movie. I never considered what Reacher should look like physically.

yeah as a reader of the books i was a bit miffed at the tom cruise pick the guy is described as a huge individual. that said, i enjoyed the movies.

i like how they changed the end of the 2nd movie. i thought the plot around it in the book was kind of silly.

Watching the new series on Prime, damn good so far.
If you read the books, plays out a lot like them and has the same tone and feel. Plus, the guy they got playing Jack looks and acts a lot more like how he is written. So when he is in a fight you can understand why he beats people up like he does.

I suggest Reacher on Amazon. Definitely truer to the Lee Child portrayal.

This show is comically if not gleefully dumb. The writing and acting are abysmal, but the show hasn't yet gained consciousness of its own stupidity and isn't, therefore, as enjoyable as it could be. Still, it's not a bad thing to watch while you're gnawing lead paint off the wall and need something to keep you occupied to pass the time.

Reacher books aren't exactly mind challenging. Lee Child kind of winks at the reader from time to time.

If you go into it knowing what you’re getting, I can’t see a flaw with the show.
