I'm not saying it's a rational hatred.

Who played for the Lions. The same organization that had an all time great RB and WR call it quits mid career rather than play another season for that joke of an organization. Jay Cutler won as many playoff games as Bear as the Lions have over the last 63 years.

From everything I've read about his time in Detroit, he just kept playing and didn't publically voice his opinion on much other than the games at hand. He certainly didn't demand a trade out of Detroit, or get together with Von Miller and OBJ to engineer some LA super team.

I'm not saying Stafford is an all time great, or even that he's a deserving HOF'er. But there is nothing wrong with giving the guy credit for having a solid career and finally helping his team get to and win a Super Bowl.

Stafford is Barry Sanders. Why does Peeps hate Barry?

Stafford has a super bowl ring, so probably in a different tier than Sanders.

Agreed. Neither are quite as good as a guy like Ben roethlisberger or Eli manning but they both should still sneak into the hall.

How do you suppose Troy Aikman's numbers would look if he played 12 seasons in Detroit?

I have no problem seeing Dallas winning just as much with Stafford as qb than they did with Aikman.

Aikman’s like 55yrs old and Stafford is a future hall of famer coming off a super bowl win. I’d go Stafford.

My point is I think Stafford as QB contributed more to the Rams Championship than Aikman did to any of his Cowboys Championships. Stafford a more skilled QB than Troy Aikman....IMO. He's not in the elite tier of Joe Montana or Peyton Manning, but Aikman never was, either.

Grieve never even sniffed 3000 yards much less hit Namaths 4000...
But I guess Griese had 2 SBs... his stats weren't as good IMHO. But you make a compelling case.
Can we agree neither is blowing out kilts up?
