Lowe Vs. Dempster
Billingsley Vs. Zambrano
Kuroda Vs. Harden

Nice to see Kuo will not be able to pitch in the NLDS due to numbness. He is very good out of the bullpen.

Cubs beat Billingsley twice this year. Did not hit well in going 1-1 vs. both Lowe and Kuroda. To bad the Mets had to piss down their legs again. Torre is debating between Maddux and Lowe in game 4 "depending on how the series is going."

Outside of Manny, there lineup does not scare me that much. If Cubs lose game one, Cubs in five, if they win game one Cubs in Four.

Ethier, amongst others, has thrived under the large sheltering umbrella that Manny has brought with him from Boston. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I believe the Dodgers offense as a whole has markedly improved since the trade. We'll see what that means when the Playoffs start. I'm going to the store to stock up on Pepto Bismol in a few minutes.

I don't want to see Santana twice in a five game series. I think he'd the best pitcher on the NL side of the playoffs. I'd love to face the Mets in a seven game series but not a five.

Pitching is important throughout the playoffs, but starting pitching is most important in the first round. This matchup is perfect. The Dodgers have no real #1 starter and their staff is, on the whole, a cut below the Cubs staff. Compare this to facing NY, where you're automatically saying that two of the games are going to be real struggles, even if the other three really favor the Cubs.

Man do the Phillies have it easy though. Sabathia can't throw until game two at the earliest, and Sheets is injured. Game one started Manny Parra? Dave Bush?

I am good with the Dodgers. The Cubs should win this series in 4.

Not a big fan of this match-up.

I agree. Team with the best record should play the team with the worst record,... period...end of story. The Cubs HAVE to show up and play ball...pitch, hit & play defense, and they'll be alright.

If the Dodgers take 1 of the 2 at Wrigley, this series may not get back to Chicago. This should be a good series, I'm looking foward to watching it.

I'm cheering for the Sox still.

After that, I really have no vested interest. I like flipping shit around here, but I really don't care of the Cubs win or lose.

It's a guarantee they'll walk him each time he's the first batter a Cubs relief pitcher faces... of course that's the case regardless of the hitter.

Well no shit sherlock, I know you are cheering for the Sox.

But was just curious if you would actually admit you were cheering for the Cubs, or are you going to remain in the closet.

You mean Sabathia? I'd much rather face Sabathia than Santana, everything being equal. Plus the Mets are better than the Brewers just in general, outside of those pitchers.

Plus, Santana > Lowe or Billingsley, which is what the true comparison is for the NLDS.

ya got that right. They beat us them outright on all phases...and the eagles could have beaten them too. Everyone picking cowboys for superbowl...but there are many solid teams...most in the nfc east. so yeah...fairly pissed...and I wanted the Mets!

This is exciting. I'm already getting all tingly. I think the match ups are pretty good for the Cubs. Manny does worry me, but if they don't put everyone on base before him, he's much less of a threat. The offense is going to have to step it up big, we can't have these one run games. Fuku, D Lee, Ramirez and Fonzie all have to be on their A-Games now.

Ethier and Kemp cant lay off the high fastball, cant hit it either, Manny is scary, but they should pitch around them for the most part, I just dont see the dodgers coming close in this series, but thats why they play the games. I will still be nervous though

Looking at ESPN.com, looks like 5:30 game 1 and 8:30 game 2.
