They can just do that? Not have a Star Wars episode on Tatooine?

Doesn't look too bad to me. I found it interesting that they make it very clear it is a Limited Series so probably means just one season. Just a guess of course. Looks like the Inquisitor character was done pretty close to the animated series, but the main evil character is apparently new from what I have read.

Hope there’s a blue milk episode and one that focuses on moisture vaporators. 50/50 he goes to Tosche Station at some point.

Disney generally makes great trailers. It's the actual movies and shows that they struggle with.

I've enjoyed The Mandalorian quite a bit. Hopefully Kenobi is closer to that than it is Boba Fett.

I definitely agree with that.

Mando is probably by far the best Disney+ product I’ve seen.

I enjoyed Loki, most of Wandavision, and Hawkeye quite a bit tho.

Also, the Mando episodes of Boba were top notch IMO.

Watched first two this morning before work. I won't put any spoilers in here. It was a bit uneven out of the blocks and not exactly exciting but fine overall. They had a nice couple minute review of what happened in the prequels to get where we are now in this series. There is a cameo by a rock guitarist who has had minor roles in many other movies over the years. So far I think it is just fine and there is a ways to go. There are only 6 episodes total and they just chewed up 1/3 of them setting the table. Just was hoping for a bit more, seemed a bit more tame than I was hoping for.

I haven't been blown away by any of these shows other than The Mandalorian. Most of it feels pretty watered down but at least it is original material which is more than I can say for a lot of what is on television. I am a Star Wars apologist and really love it for what it is. I have been watching one episode of The Clone Wars cartoon series when I go home for lunch everyday. Got through the Rebels cartoon series and really enjoyed it. What they have done is far from perfect but I appreciate that they are trying to expand the universe and tell stories some of us might be interested in knowing, even if it is just to monetize the franchise. I don't want to damn the show after the first 100 minutes or whatever it was.

I agree that the project to expand the universe is a worthy effort. I'd really like to see a show dedicated to the Emperor's early years/rise to prominence. The Sith story is highly underdeveloped.

That could be interesting. I have heard that Grand Admiral Thrawn will be coming in another series and he is a pretty interesting character. I will be interested to see if they try to shoehorn the Darth Maul storyline into this Kenobi series. Part of me would like to see it but not if it is just a toss in piece of it. He'd need to be more of a character in the show.

Part 1 : boring. the bad guys make up or whatever it's called looked like shit.

Part 2 : Star Wars Home alone version. Leia' is a brat and I wanted her to go away.

Too cutesy disney shit for me. but I will watch, there is some potential.

the actor I hate as OB1 but he was better than in the prequel movies. Maybe he's matured as an actor since then.

SPOILERS....

At the end vader senses OB1. But how can that be? In Star Wars 1977 Vader says he hasn't sensed ob1 since the clone wars. need an explanation.
