It's amazing what teams will give up to avoid signing Mitch.

Wentz is going to killed trying to play in Washington

I don't hate Wentz is most of the others here, but I'm not giving up a bunch of picks to get him. Yes...I'd be more comfortable taking a flyer on Mitch for low money / low risk

So, the Commanders traded two third round picks to get a quarterback that the Eagles and Colts hated, and was going to be released anyways where they could have just signed him.

New name. Same dysfunction.

....And Washington has done this AFTER Wentz failed with Reich, Wentz's biggest (and only?) supporter in the NFL, who now has apologized to Irsay for his error in advocating for the Wentz trade in the first place.

Is it all in Wentz’ head or is something physically wrong with him? Wasn’t he a leading MVP candidate a couple of years ago (prior to his injury)?

You look at his numbers this year and they are pretty good, definitely not something you would run from.

Agreed Dolphin, his regular season numbers were pretty damn good, but it is hard to get the left handed pass out of the end zone out of my head.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky would cut his left hand off to have his career.

Seems like they gave up an awful lot for a mild, if any, upgrade over Heinicke.

I like Heinicke, agree tho.. mild upgrade.

Wentz benefited last year from a top offensive line and excellent running back--in addition to a really good offensive coach in Reich. I wouldn't expect the same level of play from him with Washington. Dumb trade.

Yeah, cant argue any of that. He does have talent and a decent resume, he is tough, plays hurt. Id take Winston over him though.

The deal doesn't make sense for Washington....this doesn't make them a whole lot better and they gave up draft capital.

I'm not sure on Indy's angle here, either. Now they don't have a quarterback....AT ALL. Unless...they're lining up Deshaun Watson? I don't see any other QB of significance out there. There's Mitch...who is a downgrade from Wentz. It's nice they got some picks, but they just created a bigger problem to solve.

...and I'll agree with Seacrest....this smells like Snyder.

My guess is that the 49ers have already received a phone call.

 I don't consider Jimmy G much of an upgrade over Wentz, but I guess this is a possibility

Jimmy G is like the 4th-best QB in the NFC but would be like the 400th best in the AFC.

I don't think Jimmy G will be healthy by the time training camp starts.
