placeholding for the anticipatory move

I would expect to get a 2nd+ for him.

You will get a 3rd at best for Quinn.

less expensive, more productive and shorter commitment term

Mack's contract deflated his value.

I’d prefer a 2nd rounder.. but I’d take a 3rd for him too at this point.. which I agree with Bob is probably the best anyone will offer for him. They should be shopping Goldman too who is still a good anchor for a 3-4. Not sure they’d get much more than say a 5th for him but I’d take it just to add draft capital.

They'd be lucky to get a 6th or 7th for Goldman. He will most likely be cut at some point before the start of the season.

I believe he was 3rd in the NFL in sacks, recently, ...like this last year...so yeah cut him..that makes sense, or no, wait, trade him for a 7th rounder

They were talking about No Show Eddie Goldman.

Do you remember when we were told how much Mack needed help? Last year, Quinn nearly had more sacks than Mack had in his last 3 years combined. This was done on a team with a historically bad offense and without Mack. His trade value should be higher than Mack's. I would be fine with keeping him.

Besides, unlike Mack, he fits the profile of an edge rusher out of the the new 4-3 defense...so no, he ain't going anywhere

Quinn hasn't played well in consecutive seasons since 2012-2014. Since then, he's been an every-other-year kind of guy.

He was healthy this year (last year he wasn't) and along with Roquan was the only consistent player on a weak defense...let's try working on a 2nd linebacker, a safety, I don't know, maybe a 2nd decent corner...

So does he get injured every other year, then? Not sure I'd consider that a good sign about his prospects for 2022.
