Does Tarik Cohen have any value left or is he a cap cut?

No and who gives a shit.

This team will be mediocre at best next year. Cut the midget and move on.

Hub said Cohen was walking with a limp on the sidelines even at the end of the season. Doesn't sound good.

Sounds like an injury settlement may be coming. I know he's glad he signed that contract.

Another guard hits the free agent market. Any interest? Given the number of positions the Bears need to fill, it might be better for them to sign a stopgap guy like Saffold at guard instead of signing Daniels to a long-term contract at a much higher price. Saffold had an off season and won't cost much to sign. Daniels is better, but not by all that much.

I want the Bears to kick the tires of Marquez Valdes-Scantling. He has a lot of upside. He gets wide open very often. Catching some of those passes is somewhat of an issue. The talent is there and the targets should be as well.

I wouldn't mind adding him but DJ Chark would be my top priority at WR.

I'm on board with that. He's coming off an injury and that should suppress his value.

somewhat of an issue?

The guy is always open and has a horrible catch %. Rogers always put it right on his hands and he would still drop it. Imagine what he would do with a less accurate passer.

No way I want that guy.

It's not going to cost you a lot. I imagine some of the problems may come from not getting a lot of touches. Fields throws as good a deep ball as any quarterback in the league.

He has improved a lot with that, I don't blame you for wanting him.

Take a look at his targets. There were plenty. He catches less than 50% for his career and none of his targets are of the highly contested type. He was always open but he can't catch.

He had his second worst catch % last year at 47.3.

Justin's ball is softer than Aaron's (so to speak).

I don't understand this signing. Larry Ogunjobi is not a great player. He recorded seven sacks in 2021, but that was fluky; he notched 2.5 sacks in the prior season. Ogunjobi also tends to get trampled while trying to defend the run. If you were to ask me, "How much money will Ogunjobi get on a 3-year deal?" I would have answered with anywhere between $12 million and $15 million. I don't understand how the Bears determined that Ogunjobi is worth $40.5 million.

plenty of more reputable sources like the move

the price was heavy

this was a position they absolutely needed to fill with a veteran and this was the best person available. 3T is one of Eberflus' three key defensive positions

Yep...that's Free Agency. You gotta be willing to overpay when you fail to draft and develop in-house. If they passed, we'd all be crying on the Bears being cheap.

I won't pretend to know who this guy is, but he's young enough to matter when we're trying to win in 2023 or 2024.

Pretty good for an interior lineman

Majority of day 1signings are an overpay. I'll take this over that ridiculous Kirk deal.

Let’s face it, there is a Jacksonville surcharge. Plus they’ve got a lot of money, a lot of needs and a potential franchise QB that they need to support.
