The league settings for some reason say it's an AutoPick draft.

I don't like that idea.

sorry guys, it's my fault...one of my buddies got in at the last minute so it screwed up the draft due to us having an uneven number of players. A friend of mine is joining today, and we will draft tomorrow at 3PM (Sun). Sorry for the mixup, I got wireless signal about 5 minutes ago...

Is there any way to add more bench spots after the fact? not really much to do with only 1 guy on the bench.

If possible, I would second this. I've never played any fantasy sport without a bench before. If not, then let's roll with it.

Well here is what confuses me, there is no "attempt" to it, you either do or don't. I have been a commish on yahoo before, so there is no question about whether he can or not, just will he or not. So just curious if he is actually going to do it, or we are out of luck. I would just like a straight answer I guess is what I am saying.

A lot of what the commish actually controls or has the ability to change is locked once a league has a draft. This may be the case here.

the delay in my posting of a solid answer was in my emailing of Yahoo to ask if I could change anything post-draft. I could not do it, and now I find that Yahoo says I cannot. So this is what we are stuck with. I really appreciate you all weighing in, but I do wish I had heard from you all earlier. The only person who posted about the bench spots on the Yahoo site was Darren. I didn't realize there was a consensus among you all to increase the bench spots or believe me, I would have. I figured you all read the settings when you joined the league. Bad news, but I hope you all still enjoy playing and I'm looking foward to the league...

I am not trying to be a pain about all of this, but I just do not buy this at all. I have been a commish in yahoo leagues for going on 5 years and in every league I have ever been the head of, you can edit the roster positions at any point until the season actually begins.

I just went under fantasy rules in our league and it says and I quote "Edit Roster Positions (Until League Starts)"

Seems pretty clear to me. The Commish can edit roster positions until the league starts, which our league has not started.

So please stop screwing around with us. If you do not want to add bench spots, just be straight and say that. Don't play games like it is Yahoos doing and your hands are tied.

I wish I could call up a screen image of my commish tools page. The edit roster positions link is black, not blue and I cannot click on it. It does say the availability is "Until League Starts" but Yahoo is telling me no dice. Scoring Type, League Start Date can still be changed but that's about it. If you do not want to play (and I would rather that you would) I do have a friend who could co-manage the team (rather than taking a team out) but I hope you still decide to play. I would change it if I could. I've been a commish since '05, so I'm no novice. Yahoo is locking it out.

I am still playing no matter what, I just want to be straight about things and it seemed to me you was playing games because you did not want to just say "no bench spots, suck it up and deal with it."
