I'd rather have a can of Pringles than Byron Pringle. This WR corps isn't taking shape very well. Fields needs a go-to guy in 3rd down situations.

It seems to me that they are taking the approach of raising the average level of the WR group, but also lowering the top end of it.

I think they will wait until after the draft unless someone is an absolute steal.

There will be future #1 talent still at WR when they make their first pick. The Packers were happy to let Adams go after looking at what they may be able to acquire in this draft. I'm a Christian Watson guy myself.

Many teams over time have found a great WR after Round 1 or 2.

Bringing in guys from KC and GB that they know and trust to be solid on one year prove it deals, if they hit on a few of them it gives them solid roster guys moving forward, if not, they are gone.

Pretty sobering when you look back at how bad Pace was at drafting offensive players, you have plenty of cap room when you never draft guys that merit big second contracts. Wondered it at the time and still cannot get why George brought Pace/Nagy back last year and allowed them to squander draft capital and keep throwing bad paper at underproducing vets, the fact that Poles took this job knowing the mess he was stepping into is interesting.

Has Pringle done anything during his career to demonstrate that he's better than Byrd or Goodwin? St. Brown seems like roster filler. I'm unimpressed with the receiver rebuild thus far.

I also don't think the Packers were "happy" to let Adams go since they apparently matched the Raiders' offer to him.

Brown may not even make it out of training camp. He's the last guy in the room.

Pringle had a very nice season last year at: 42 568 13.5 and 5 TD. That was in his third year, which is usually the breakout year for a WR. He also caught 70% of the passes thrown to him. I think we got a player on the rise for incredibly reasonable money.

Goodwin and Byrd are fine as 4-5 WR on a team, by the way. We were using them as 2-3.

I expect the Bears to get a WR high in the draft and then a good veteran, which pushes Pringle to 3-4.

St. Brown is a sneaky good WR. Pringle is also. I think that although those are not marquee names, they'll surprise people. This is the season where Allen Robinson gets exposed as the fraud he is as a number 1 WR.

Sneaky good? He's had 16 catches the last two seasons. Do you even consider the thoughts you post?

I dont see how anyone can have a strong opinion on Brown, no one has seen him enough.

Pringle is a pretty good WR. I have watched him a lot. He will be a nice #3 guy to have.

The Packers had a poor receiver corps outside of Adams, and St. Brown did nothing for them. I wouldn't say that bodes well for his future with the Bears.

I admittedly am not a close observer of Byron Pringle, but he seems OK, nothing special.

Could be, but we need a better receivers group than we currently have to find that out.

have you watched him play? Do you know who he played for and why he only had two catches? How many Packer games did you watch this year?

Well part of that could be he's hurt alot.

When he's not hurt, he was not good enough to make the Packers roster. He was cut last year, sent to the practice squad and bounced back and forth between the PS and the active roster.

But please, tell me how sneaky good this guy is.

I've watched nearly every game since he was drafted and I can only describe him as a tantalizing disappointment. His measurables are great but that didn't translate to results on the field - despite playing on a team with a great QB and a significant need for a 2nd target. I think what bothered me the most was that he seemed to miss a lot of time with non-obvious injuries. It felt like his name was always on the injury list despite little actual playing time.

Bears did not waste any time finding a replacement for Ogunjobi. They are signing former Charger Justin Jones

"Our medical team" - I wonder if this was a legit issue or if they had buyer's remorse for some other reason. Since it's the Bears, I can see a grievance being filed.

Pringle had Mahomes and was more or less useless most games.

He is still rehabbing from surgery after seriously injuring his foot in the Wild Card game vs. the Raiders. Maybe he hasn't progressed as far as the Bears thought he would have by now?

i dont know if i'd go that far... i think it's crazy that pringle got $6M.... but i think he's a decent WR. There were quite a few games last year pringle was the #2 WR option ahead of hardman in KC.
