What a thrilling ride. You can't top the way they won this division. They won 3 straight "elimination games" to win it. Doing that after losing 5 straight. Including losing 3 straight to the 2nd place Twins. We all thought that Twins series at the dome would decide the division. Well, we got swept. It didn't decide the division. Amazing.

We're playing with house money as we enter the playoffs. I'll be pissed if we lose but I'll still consider this a great season. We over came the loss of Quentin and Contreras down the stretch. Jenks and Linebrink missed some time. Koerko sucked and was hurt.

Game 162 made Alexei Ramirez a White Sox hero. But it took John Danks heroic effort in game 163 to make what Rameriz did matter. Those two are Sox heros forever.

Took us 163 but we did it. I love it.

Don't forget Floyd, he was a game 162 hero IMO as well.

Oh yeah. Also Buehrle in game 161. He was awesome.

And that shot by Thome today was legendary. 1-0 victory in the "Tiebreaker game". Can't beat it. It sucked down the stretch. But winning it this way makes it greater.

A.J stuck his pollock ass into the mix again. Doesn't he always? That SOB made a hell of a pick, took a shot, hung on and made the out.

Let's not forget about Kenny Williams (Screw you Big Fan  )

He did a great job putting this team together. He beleived in Floyd and Danks. Traded nobody for both of them. He got two kids in Quentin and Ramirez. Signed one that nobody wanted and traded nothing for the other. Those were great finds.

Those 4 guys are the reason we won this division. He got those 4 guys when all other teams in MLB could have.

The last time they clinched, it was a 1-0 final. So, might as well keep it that way.

Congrats to the Sox for winning a game that should have been played in Minnesota. Sox got a break in that one. Now it's on to the Tampa Dome. Good luck out there. Cant see the Sox winning a game in Tampa which means the Sox season ends in about a week.

Hey wow, another naysayer. You can only play whoever the schedule says. Sox caught a break and took advantage. Had Minnesota beatup on KC over the weekend, this game never would have been played. Sox are in the playoffs, so just deal with it k.

Was it the biggest game in White Sox History?

The biggest game in White Sox history is when Mike Caruso hit a HR at Wrigley to sweep the Cubs

Even if the Sox get bounced by Tampa this division title will be thought of fondly forever by Sox fans. More so than any other division champion. What they did in the last 3 games of the season was a great feet.

Buehrle and Floyd were great. But Alexei Ramirez and John Danks will be great memories forever. The Thome homer and the AJ catch/tag as well.

Yes it will. Cuz they won 3 elimination games. People will talk about those moments forever. It's not a World Series. I know that. But it was a thrilling 3 games. You won't forget what they did.

It will sure be a sucky weekend if they get swept or go out in 4, but I will forever remember last nite's game with fondness. Being there was amazing. Regardless of what happens in the ALDS, CS, or WS, I can't be dissapointed in this division title.

Are you talking about losing 5 in a row to the Twins and Indians to nearly blow it, winning the last 3, or all the above? It was thrilling no doubt. But they made it that way by playing so poorly towards the end of the season, having lost 8 of 12 before salvaging the division title. Lets not engage in revisionist history now.

I'm aware of that. We were on the edge of our seats for 8 straight games. Memorable. I didn't say it was all good. But the last 3 games was an acomplishment. Nobody can deny that. Why is this so hard for some people to understand? I think Dolphin agrees but just likes to argue with me for the sake of it.

Hey, we don't have a "collapse" to talk about. Everybody remembers the '69 Cubs and The 2003 Cubs for that reason. Same with the '86 Red Sox and the 2007/2008 Mets. Many other teams have "collapses" that they remember. Why can't I remember this fondly?

The LOSER mentality!

and it's feat

Not a loser mentality. You misunderstand me. I remember the 2005 World Series with greater joy. I don't think much about the 1993 and 2000 Sox division champs. This division title was different for clear reasons.

I'm not celebrating like crazy. Didn't celebrate last night. Just have an appreciation for what happened. I thought it was pretty cool.
