I would like to walk out of the day with Darrian Kinnard from Kentucky, and plug him immediately into the right guard spot.

I'd love for a very small trade down from a 39 to a team looking for a QB, resulting in an extra 3 or 4.

Pickens
Kinnard
Demarvin Leal in the third for the 3T position

Apropos of nothing but here is a good place for those that follow the draft. I had to go pick up my boat from mine winter storage and bring it home today. Was in the truck more than three hours with Score on.

Not a single draft discussion between Larry or Spiegs/Grote. WTF

Mostly bitching about Sox and TLR. The came Bulls shit. Why?

I call B.S. on that. I listened to the Score all day today and it was mostly draft coverage. There were certainly periods featuring baseball talk but there’s no way it was 3 consecutive hours.

Kyler Gordon's a good player. Solid pick.

Yeah I agree but I think he’ll need a year or so to learn the intricacies of the position - which is fine since next season is a wash anyway.

On a side note, he didn’t look very excited when it was announced. Maybe he’s just a low key guy.

5’11 4.52 40…most linebackers are faster than this guy. Played in a weak ass conference

Yeah it’s deep in that regard and the 2nd and 3rd rounds are prime at those spots.

Another DB? Interesting

Jaquan Brisker, S, Penn St.

Overview
Athletic safety prospect whose versatility and toughness will endear him to coaches during the evaluation process. Brisker continued to pick up elements of the defensive scheme and his play has steadily transformed from hesitant in 2019 to downright instinctive in 2021. He has the versatility to become a moving chess piece in a variety of coverages and has the size and talent to match up with both "Y" and "F" tight ends. He played with a banged-up shoulder in 2021 so his 2020 tape is a clearer indicator of his run support acumen. Brisker is an ascending talent with the NFL traits to become a long-time starter as a Day 2 draft pick.

Strengths
NFL safety size with huge hands.
Played through pain for much of 2021 season.
Versatility to play post, box and slot safety roles.
Smooth pedal with limited wasted motion.
Trusts his technique.
Instincts to find takeaway positioning from any coverage location.
Eye balance to read receiver or quarterback to anticipate route.
Footwork to adjust to receiver's route bends.
Highly capable and tough as an add-on box defender.
Attacks and discards perimeter blockers with quickness.
Forceful to square, strike and finish as tackler.

Weaknesses
Stares down quarterback and loses feel for the route.
Drive angles on the throw are a little inconsistent.
Recognition of route combinations is average.
Climbing blockers find him when maneuvering through the box.
Pursuit angles against speed can improve.
Inconsistent coming to balance to tackle.

Sources Tell Us
"He's got good size and athletic ability and played with a lot more confidence because you could tell that he understood the game better (in 2021)." -- Area scout for NFC team

No way they can justify 2 DBs here with the issues on offense. Fucking pathetic

Good Tampa 2 strong safety.

Shaping up to be a potentially strong Back 4. Allows them to spend money on the front seven next year and beyond.

Not really helping Fields at all on offense; makes me wonder if they are all in on him.

My only guess is they think OL is in lower picks and free agency and coaches up.
