Giannis dishes out plenty of punishment but he also receives more than any player, it's the same as how it was with Shaq. Also, a lot of these plays are flops by the defenders or the defenders weren't set in time. Marcus Smart in particular flops on every possession.

Nah he is running guys over a lot. More often than not it's either a no call or a defensive foul. Guys are taking hits directly in the chest and are not getting the benefit of the call all that often.

He definitely doesn’t get calls because dudes whack him and he doesn’t even flinch. Embiid would be rolling on the floor crying if he got got hit like Giannis. Instead Embiid just rolls around when someone sneezes on him and gets the calls. Good for him I guess.

It’d be hilarious if Paul’s annual playoff injury was the result of trying to bully a middle schooler.

The Mavericks organization was aware of the incident and released a statement that read, in part: "It was unacceptable behavior and will not be tolerated. The Mavericks, along with American Airlines Center, swiftly removed the fan from today's game."

Paul, who fouled out of the game with 8 minutes, 58 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter after being limited to five points in 23 minutes, consulted with security personnel stationed near the Suns' bench to express concern about what his family was being subjected to.

"They felt very unsafe," a source familiar with the situation told ESPN.

ok his wife was pushed, that's not right.
But the "was followed up the aisle" is hilarious

i think some of it has to do with embid being in a bigger market than milwaukee. giannis is clearly the MVP right now and the league doesnt promote him nearly as much as others.

I think the reason the Grizz play well when Ja isn't in the lineup can be chalked up to 2 things. 1. Defense and 2 Ball movement. Don't know if they are better without him but they sure do play differently. Ball doesn't stick nearly as much and they get after people on defense. For as good as Ja is offensively, he is weak defensively.

Bucks have had the best defense by a wide margin in the playoffs, only allowing 98.4 pts per 100 possessions. Miami is next at 105 pts allowed per 100. BOS/MEM/PHI/GSW all bunched up at around 107 allowed per 100. With Dallas (110 allowed per 100) and Phoenix (113.4 allowed per 100) both dropping down outside the remaining playoff pack on defense.

Offensively Milwaukee is 3rd worst team among all 16 playoff teams: scoring only 103.2 pts per 100 possessions. Only Atlanta (101) and Chicago (93.9 scored per 100) have been worse offensively in this year's playoffs.

Phoenix (116.9 pts per 100) and Golden State (114.3 pts per 100) have been tops offensively in this year's playoffs.

Golden State and Philly have the best combination of defense and offensive numbers. Golden State 2nd in offense and tied for 6th in defense, Philly 4th in offense and tied for 6th in defense.

Sample size and all that, but based on the team offense and team defense numbers in the playoffs so far, the Finals would be Golden State and the Sixers. And neither team has really played all that great in the playoffs so far, strangely

G.S. Loses last night if Memphis knew how to close. Too much hero ball from Dillon Brooks.

Probably need to refresh your memory on your opposition to them being "bumslayers"   How did that work out for you exactly?
I never had Memphis to do anything special. I would ask you to throw a small wager on it (since you feel so strongly after all) but you are known (by me) to welch on bets.

G.S. isn't on much. They won't get by Phoenix and whomever comes out of the East will bounce them. And for the record once again your guy Steph (All Time Great according to you) isn't anywhere near the best player in a playoff series. By my count that has to be at least the 18th series that this has been the case.

Probably gonna come down to which team's starters remain healthy. Booker and Chris Paul could go out with injury any time. Luka's already missed games in the playoffs due to injury. If Golden State can close out Memphis in 5 and then sit around and let Dallas-Phoenix beat on each other for 7 games, gotta like Warriors chances to make it through to the Finals.

Same thing in the East. Middleton coming back or not? Bucks could use his offense.
Lowry probably cashed for the year. Marcus Smart has a banged up leg, but otherwise Celts seem healthy. If Embiid can stay on the court, have to like Sixers chances to make the Finals. But are you really going to bet on a James Harden team to win it all.

Harden winning it all who be the biggest fuck you since Lebron's collapse against Dallas followed by his coronation in Cleveland. Oh, I'm sorry. I mean The Land.

Yeah if he is the 2nd best player on the team I will. The guy was the best player on a team that won 65 games and barring an injury to Paul likely would have beat "the best team in history" 3-4 years ago. He doesn't need to be that guy he just needs be all star level and Philly is straight. What they lacked previously (guys that can do it off the bounce) they have now with him and Maxey. He might have lost a step but his game was never predicated on his possessing elite athleticism anyway.

Any of the current teams left in the East will Beat G.S. Phoenix pops them too.

Phoenix healthy should roll over Golden State. But it is Chris Paul and Booker already missed games with an injury these playoffs.

Yeah, I guess it's not really James Harden's Sixers. It's Embiid's team. Harden's maybe 2A to Maxey's 2B on the team, depending on the night. Harden does seem to be more valuable when he's not necessarily the primary offensive option.

Chris Paul vs Harden in the Finals: one guy finally gets a ring while the other continues to be pegged as a playoff miss.

No way the team that I saw last night is a championship team. I have no doubt as to whether or not they will win the championship.
