I'm still looking for these massive waves of FA talent that Dolphin promised...

Looks like Larry Ojakanobiaidwadadi29 is signing with the J-E-T-S

Florio was saying the 49ers can cut Garoppolo at the end of training camp and they won't have to pay him the $25 mil he'd make if he's on their roster week 1. Probably pick him up for $10 mil on a 1 year deal at that point. Doesn't really do anything for Fields tho.

There are starters on the market and no one has been cut yet.

Will Fuller will get injured while signing his Bears contract.

They seem to be stitching together the league’s smallest receiving corps, so why not?

yes, for a one year deal at small money. You have to figure on only getting 10 or so games from him, but they will be out of the playoffs by that time anyway. He's got the kind of talent that's worth a risk.

from his perspective, he probably becomes the team's top WR

Getsy seems to be building an offense that will rely of quick guys that can read the outside zone leverage and either cut back against the flow, or can get outside and hit the edge, that said, you do need a speed guy that can at least make the safety look his way and get the corner to turn his back in order to run with him, so Fuller makes sense as a somewhat expensive decoy.

They also know that it is highly unlikely the oline will be able to pass block for any period of time, so would expect a ton of quick passes which they will hope guys can break a tackle and pick up a few yards. It will be a completely different approach than Nagy, but was never really sure what Nagy was trying to do anyways.

This is going to be a Shoop Level bad offense. Getsy will be a WR coach in the MAC two years from now.

They're going to try to run the 49ers offense until Fields I'd ready to have his training wheels removed. That makes sense to me.

Just hope he isn't the one doing all of the peddling on a bicycle built for 2.

Free agent WR Tajae Sharpe is signing a one-year deal with the #Bears, source said. Added post-draft depth and more.

Dolphin must be hard seeing the Bears signing all these fifth tier free agents. Bet Rivers had the Bears win total at 6.5. I'm hammering the under.

There are good players available who would help. He just isn't moving on them. Poles is the one who said he would concentrate on the second wave. Maybe the players aren't desperate enough yet to accept 1 year deals.

or I'll just have to accept this is a full on tank year.

You can accept that Poles sucks.

The Bears still have $16 million in cap space according to Over the cap.com. Based on all the WR signings, it wouldn't seem that he would throw money at a veteran WR at this point. The question is where will he spend it?

The Bears need a good veteran left tackle and at least one defensive tackle.

For a guy who wants to revitalize the lines, Poles hasn't done much to revitalize the lines.

Usually you fill these massive needs well before two months ahead of training camp.

This is a full bore tank...it better be worth it (aka Will Anderson)

There are a few veteran FA LT out there. I can't see just giving the position to Borom. I'd love it if they brought in a veteran and Borom won the spot in a camp battle.

You are correct.
Poles actions indicates Bob's comment about being a tank is also correct.

It may not be a full blown "tank" but Poles is pretty much gutting the team and given the draft, he's focused on picking safe bets of guys that will play on Sundays. It's a refreshing approach, but fact is Fields is in deep shit with the O line and WR group on the roster.

Why wouldn't you want to see what you have in Borom before signing a veteran starter? Those guys and others will still be there when the preseason starts. They're plug and play guys.

Because the Bears also have massive questions/holes at right tackle and right guard in addition to being only so-so at center and left guard. They need stability somewhere.
