That Morel AB was a thing. I haven't seen that kind of electricity out of a player since Baez. He hit the shit out of that ball and working back to full after going down 0-2 made it even better. Hughes 5 k's in 1.2 innings of work is now totally forgotten.

Morel is likely to be Patrick Wisdom or David Bote with more positional versatility. He had a really rough 2021 at AA and only got promoted to AAA due to covid absences. But he has been playing much better back at AA, and he is probably better than Hermosillo right now as a platoon CF and backup 3B.

Still, it is a great spot for him. Contreras is the one who pushed him out for the curtain call. I would expect to see Morel in today's lineup.
