Buerhle needed to start. I don't care about short rest. Vasquez did exactly what I thought he would do. 88% of game 1 winners win the 5 game series.

Hopefully they can pull out the 9-8 win.

Considering the mess Vazquez left out there, good job by Richard.

We need to keep a little perspective here. One, the game isn't over. They don't have Percival and I don't have a lot of confidence in Wheeler. Two, it's only game one and on the road. Really only need to take one of the two road games. We all knew throwing Vasquez out there wasn't the greatest position to be in but it was necessary due to the manner in which the Sox actually got here, i.e. throwing their best pitchers on short rest. We just need to tough this one out. Hope they can come back but if not it's not the end of the world.

Good job by Richard to limit the damage. Just have to score to pick up that useless fucker.

That's the proper perspective. Even an optimist would not have put the potential to win this game at very likely. Tomorrow is a different story.
