Boyega was good. Kelly Marie Tran got stuck with the C plot so it was hard to tell. Ingram isn’t off to a promising start but we’ll see. Everybody loves Billy Dee Williams and to a lesser extent Samuel L Jackson. I’m willing to entertain the idea there may be some misogyny involved where all the dudes of color are liked and the women aren’t (by loud internet people). That misogyny could well be the women are written poorly and it’s not their abilities and it sticks out, and not so much “people on Twitter,” but yeah there’s always lots of “people on Twitter.” It’s not like an real answer is going to solve anything.

i think both are right. Maybe it's what the typical star wars fans in my head looks like - complete homebody, lives in their mom's basement, hasn't ever kissed a girl type.

Leia sure, Padme meh, people wanted to like her but she had to talk to Anakin a lot and looked bad. Rey and whoever the character in Rogue One were liked. Just meant men of color seem to be liked more than the women. Emilia Clark in Solo wasn’t well liked, but neither was the movie.

Basically Rian Johnson and Kathleen Kennedy ruined Star Wars, and are the main reason why there are controversies like this.

In contrast, I was on the edge of my seat when I first saw Kylo Ren's character on screen. The mask, lightsaber and over all bad ass feel was Vader like.

then..... they introduced the Ben Solo storyline and turned him into a weak, pathetic loser. I HATED Ben Solo's character and it ruined the new storyline for me.

To this day, I can not watch a movie with Adam Driver in it. He has a bitch face that reminds me of how they turned the next Vader into a pussy.

Call it whatever you want, but I blame all three in varying degrees.

Episode 3 was pretty good. Vader made his appearance and he is angrier than ever choking people out left and right, not to mention pretty upset at Obi Wan.

Thought it was an interesting nugget about Obi Wan trying to remember his parents and possibly having a sibling.

I was underwhelmed by the Vader-Kenobi "fight." Maybe I'm missing something, but it seemed like Obi-Wan could just run away but somehow Vader always stayed close. And then Vader started the fire, then stopped it...but then the fire started again and Kenobi was able to be pulled away to safety. It seemed like Vader's powers were dependent on what the plot needed.

that was a good episode. but i agree w jaw breaker, the ending was like huh? they could have wrote it better.

Also, it doesn't add up with Star Wars Movie. In the movie when Vader/OB1 have their duel - Vader mentions 'we finally meet again, now I am the master'. So assuming that meant they had not seen each other since the duel on the lava planet where OB1 defeats Anakin.

Also, the lines Vader used were wrong. Vader said 'kill ' or 'murder' i think. He never uses those terms, he always uses 'destroy'.

this story arc could be the last time they meet before the final meeting. Thats 9-10 years away. Id say that would qualify a "finally, we meet again."
