come back and win this series, its time to change this team. This would be 2 straight seasons of pissing the bed. Soriano is not a leadoff man. Teams won't throw him strikes in the playoffs, you need a real leadoff man. Lee isn't a 3 hitter. I would try to move him and sign Mark T. This is the same team from last season, except for Fukudome and the centerfielders. You had the best starting staff in the league, but you have guys that can't hit in the postseason. They went from being one of the most patient teams, to swinging at anything thrown.

From an outsider's perspective, I would argue that the team is fine. Pitching is the issue, as it is with many other teams in this league. The Cubs have made the postseason twice in a row now, which is, without researching anything, the first time in my lifetime that has happened.

Pitching is the issue. Just look at my Sox.

You've got a lot of "bad money" on this team. Soriano and Fukudome. Fukudome won't get better. Soriano will just be a year older.

I don't think Zambrano is "good money" either. Wasn't his fault today but he's not reliable.

Agree with you on all of that. I'm really worried about them over paying Dempster and possibly Wood this offseason.
