Theres just as much on Sousa for not being able to get a .160 hitter out.

If this were an episode of Star Trek:TOS, Sousa would have a red shirt on.

And If you don't think your pitcher can get a guy out off a 1-2 count, he shouldn't be on the team.

This is the bottom line as far as I am concerned. If you have a batter down 1-2 you should be confident in getting him out. For LaRussa to walk him at that point basically tells the pitcher that he has zero confidence in him.
Then walk him and make a pitching change. Or don't bring him into the game in the first place.

There is zero defense of Tony on this move yesterday. None. If you're defending Tony here, you're just as idiotic as the move he made was.

Rogue defending the move here is crazy because he spent the entire '19-'20 offseason bbitching about the media coverage and the narrative they created about TLR not being able to relate to today's players, taking the fun out of the game, etc.

If you can relate to intentionally giving a free base to a guy with a 1-2 count, you need help.

Gotta overcome errors. Including the Manager's errors.

He put out as good a lineup as he could yesterday and Tuesday. I'm sure today we'll get Leury leading off or hitting #2, or no Vaughn/Burger or something stupid again.
