The best way to deal with all the trade issues is enforce the salary cap harder. Make it wrong to use funny math and phantom players to make the deals equal.

Where you been? Kawhi pulled it and it didn't hurt him one bit. So did Jimmy Buckets and he still got maxed out. Didn't hurt Harden either. Guys are pulling this garbage all over the league right now and it isn't impacting them because there are no safeguards in place to prevent it.

Kawhi had or faked a knee injury in a contract year. Butler was just an asshole in an opt out year. Harden and Kyrie are the only ones who have been successful

Porzingus requested a trade and got it. So did Ben Simmons. Westbrook requested to be traded out of OKC and got it. AD requested to be traded from N.O. and got it too. Chris Paul with the Clippers if I'm remembering correctly. Each and every guy that has requested to be traded has been traded. Gobert with Utah? This is part of the league's culture currently and it sucks.

None of them will ever sign a max deal again though

Chris Paul did. Ben Simmons will too. By the time his contract is up this will be forgotten. Plus most guys really only get one max deal throughout the course of their career anyway. Harden forced his way off of 2 teams and Philly is still ready to give him the Brinks truck. Teams don't care nearly as much about that as you might think.

Did Paul request a trade after signing a big deal? I seriously doubt anyone will pay Simmons. You can bump this in a few years if I'm wrong.
