  Uh...No.

Why should I watch them, I have read this book before, they jump out to a early lead in LA, only to lose in the 7 and 8th, I dont need the headache.

Alright Cubs fans. Enough of the other talk. You have a game tonight.

9pm Saturday start. Most of you have off tomorrow. These late Friday/Saturday games are fun cuz of that. Especially playoff games.

My suggestion: Have 2 beers before the game. Don't be drunk at first pitch. Then drink heavily during the game. If it's bad it will help. If it's good you'll be feeling that much better.

I'm drinking now. But I have no rooting interest in the game.

Let's hear some pre game talk from you guys. I'm interested.

I've been drinking since 10:45am (see: the food critics section) so I'm pretty well oiled for this game already.

Ill be hosting a little party at my house watching the MMA fights on CBS before the game. Hopefully Im just tipsy enough by first pitch. Cant get much worse(8 hours from now I better not be regretting this)

By the way, the Brewers/Phillies start in 20 minutes. I don't like college football much so I'll be watching that. Rooting for the Brewers. They are hosting a playoff game for the first time in 26 years. I feel good for their fans. That place will be rockin'. Plus I hate Philadelphia.

Well, I've got the note written, the noose tied, and a sturdy tree all picked out, let's just see if the Cubs do their part....

(figured I'd better come back and add a  )

i have no idea what the lineup is tonight, but it has to be fontenot at 2nd and derosa in right. we have hardly seen reed johnson, but i imagine edmonds will be in center again. i think harden will be effective, he almost always is, but the guy HAS to be efficient. they really need him to get into the 7th so that marmol can actually be a bridge to wood. now if harden runs into trouble in the 5th, and there is any kind of sticky situation, they had better throw caution to the wind and get marmol in there to save the game at that moment, i dont want to see samardzija or howry or cotts or these other fuckers come out of that bullpen. play for the moment, there is no saving these guys for 8th and 9th inning work. shit, get dempster warmed up if that is what it takes to keep howry and those others out of there. if they need the pen to put out some fires, go to the big guys early. i still remember seeing dave VERES coming in and getting lit up in 03 when the marlins were bringing in beckett, and he was kicking ass.

marmol better be ready to go 2+ if he is getting outs.

Ok, after numerous molson ice's, I am going to watch the game. If Harden comes out throwing nasty shit tonight and they pull out a win, I feel like they can get this series back to chicago with lilly going tomorrow, but someone is going to have a huge game at the plate tonight. If they can just get a win, they could surprise people, not holding my beer breathe, but I like tonights match up and with a win, those dodgers might just get a little tight then.

WTF am i talking about   they will lose

That actually happened to me once. Not a pleasant experience.
I also share your sentiment about tonight's game. Another three and out...
