If the Cubs don't score in this inning, they may get shut out this game.
Any fucking time you want to show a little urgency is OK with me.

I would say pinch hit here, but there is almost no shot of Cub hiter getting a two out hit.

I have run out of outrage. I can't come up with enough expletives. This team cannot even buy ONE run.

I would have pinch hit. Two runs are looking like ten right now. Who cares if you go to the pen? Need a run. If Soriano does not get on next inning, he should never show his face in Chicago again.

As a matter of fact, most of this team should go into witness protection for their own safety.

Soriano will strike out next inning. Only 5 years left on his contract

This is just flat out depressing.
This team is comprised of many likable, bona fide good players.
After this poor showing, I'm not sure I would cross the street
to piss on them if they were on fire.

I'm startin' to wonder if they are going to be able to pull this game out... :? :puker:

Thank you. I really needed a laugh right now. I guess I should have gone to the movies tonight.

What game is Dick Stockton watching? "That's out number one--make that out number two."

What burns me about all this is just show a little fight, even an inning where you do something. This is just pathetic. Score a damn run.

And someone shoot Dick Stockton before he refers to another "era" instead of an error.

Stockton is downright daffy.
Is SNL on?

Year 8 is an option year. The Cubs have the option of all killing themselves.

Derek Lee just threw his helmet at the ground after striking out....He missed the ground.

It was an 8 yr $136 mil deal. It expires after the 2014 season (when he makes $18 mil).

That is what is known as a "Harrelson" accent.

Lou has failed to keep his players focused. I have seen everyone except Edmonds and Hardon slam the bat or glove in frustration. It is his job to get the team loose and reel them in when they lose focus.

I expect Lou to kick some dirt before this game is over. The players are just a reflection of their manager.

I think they should have plunked Ramirez right between the numbers in game 2 to shake things up. Maybe it would have woken up your own team.

At least he's earning it. Pretty soon they will exercise the "Ed Whitson clause" where he only plays on the road.

I said the same thing--although I said "earflap."

Why does T.Verducci act like he as followed the Cubs all year long and knows the players personally? He is the T.V. version of L.Homes.

Right here. Throw the first pitch like you are pitching to Ramirez and then nail him.

Where are all the idiots that said Hardon was a better or equal pickup for the Cubs as C.C. was for the Brewers?
