This was my knee jerk reaction as well. If it was the actual Masters I would have already made the purchase.
I'm sitting here thinking about this at work. I kind of have to go, right? I was incredibly lucky to win practice round tickets in 2016. Even more fortunate to be able to have a chance to walk the course again thru their lottery. I can't not go Augusta freakin National.

Personally I think you would kick yourself if you didn't end up going but there is always a lot involved with travel, costs, and the chance of bad weather. I think you buy the tickets which probably weren't that expensive if I remember correctly, and decide in the coming weeks. You shouldn't be out any money if you decide not to go as MANY would likely take those tickets off your hands at a profit to you. It is always a tough decision. I wasn't sure about going this past year because of the very things I mentioned above. It ended up being quite expensive and the weather didn't work out for the 2nd time in a row for us. Kind of soured me on going again anytime soon.

Its that special and unique of an experience.

Get in a little bit of shape and walk a lot before you go. There are a ton of elevations changes and you will walk 10+ miles easy that day.

I was at the Packers/Denver Super Bowl in San Diego, this is far bigger to me than that.

Happy for your Hawger. Will your son be able to join you or did he get one of the short straws in the family drawing?

The one thing is that unless the entire day was a washout, they have to play the tournament. Calling off a practice round with a big crowd is one thing. But this is a tournament and with the drive chip and putt on Sunday, they may not be able to play then.

No, I wouldn't go if he wasn't going. It is truly been my life long dream to go to the Masters with him, as a matter of fact, I had said I wouldn't go without him. To get to go with my brother only adds to it also.

That's really fucking awesome. It will be a trip and experience you guys will remember for the rest of your lives. Pictures and TV really do not do the place justice.

After the Par 3, the course will likely be quiet and you might end up finding the group with an entire hole almost to yourself. Bring extra batteries and SD cards for pictures. I think I took 800pics when I was there.

I'm buying the tickets, and as of right now we are planning to go to the ANWA. Kid and pet logistics to work out, but we would like to make it happen. Bit of an early 10 year Anniversary trip to ourselves.

How much were the tickets and when is the deadline to purchase? I knows ours was August 10th.

Tickets for womens am event at Augusta. Probably an easier ticket than the masters and they still sell all the merch. You’ll only want to put in for final round. Only last round is at Augusta
So, I won these!
Its looking more and more like we aren't going to be able to use these unfortunately. If anyone here is interested or has friends/family that would be, send a PM.

:( That is a bummer. I'd be interested if I hadn't just gone last year. Truly think going during the women's event would be a lot less chaotic and just as fun.

Frank sent me a great message about the Masters earlier but would greatly appreciate any feedback or comments from anyone else.

Not sure what you’d want to know. Never hurts to get there early. In my opinion the best time to hit the gift shop is when you arrive. I’m talking like an hour before the gates open at least. It sucks to stand around but you can make that time back easily by getting to the merch early. If you don’t hit the main store there is another one back near 6/16 greens up on the hill. Not sure you can ship from there or not. You can ship the stuff home from the main store so you don’t have to lug it around all day. If you’ve never been, walking the entire course is my recommendation. If the weather is nice you have plenty of time to stop along the way. Doesn’t really matter if you do front or back first. If the weather is iffy maybe do the back first. Also getting to see the new par 3 and getting your picture taken in front of the clubhouse can be fun if lines not too crazy. I’ve been three times so if you have any specific questions I may be able to answer them. They do a pretty good job listing who is on the course and when they are going off near the range. Have a great time

My sister in law has the 4 tickets from last year's washout and still hadn't found anyone to sell them to. I think she assumed she would sell them to a scalper but should have done that at least a month ago. Ended up selling them to my mom for face value so she is very thrilled to have them.

Thanks a lot Frank, just reminded me of how mad I was last year when finding out they weren't offering the ice cream sandwich when I was there. It was a COVID shortage of some sort.
Hawg I can't recommend this item enough.

I never had one when I was there.

I read just a couple weeks ago that the Peach ice cream wouldn't be around this year. I guess things may have changed.

Ok your loss. Not sure how you can go wrong with some peach ice cream wedged between two sugar cookies. Leave it to Hawg....

I was just saying the same thing to a college classmate who also had to suffer peach everything for two years on campus.

I'll be tuning in early tomorrow afternoon to watch the Women Amateurs. There was an interesting article in Golf Digest this month talking about possible future plans for the club. Check it out.

Practice round forecast looks great. Tomorrow, not so much. Kinda glad I'm not going now

Looks like Masters weekend may be cooler and a bit dreary.
