Accord to the Athletic, the Bears have the 30th toughest schedule based on the QB's they face rated by Mike Sando's QB tiers.

30. Chicago Bears (2.99)

Playing Rodgers twice is no fun, but the Bears play only two other games against quarterbacks in the top two tiers, one against Allen and the other against Dak Prescott. Last season, the schedule showed four games against Tier 1 quarterbacks, tied for most in the league. Chicago was the only team entering 2021 with zero games against Tier 4 starters (that number is six this season).

Aaron Rodgers
Tier 1

Josh Allen
Tier 1

Dak Prescott
Tier 2

Kirk Cousins
Tier 3

Mac Jones
Tier 3

Jalen Hurts
Tier 3

Carson Wentz
Tier 3

Jared Goff
Tier 3

Tua Tagovailoa
Tier 4

Davis Mills
Tier 4

Zach Wilson
Tier 4

Trey Lance
Tier 4

Daniel Jones
Tier 4

Marcus Mariota
Tier 4

Absolutely not, but I haven't watched a single preseason football game in over a decade, and I don't think I'm missing anything.

You must miss Matt Nagy terribly because you share his views on the preseason.

I do miss his grab ass practices. I flipping loved those things.

Not as much as Eddie Goldman, Eddie better be sending your guy Nagy a Christmas Card for the rest of his life.

Good use of grab ass, some people here love that phrase, glad to see someone else picking up the torch and using it to light the CFMB season flame, not quite Janet Evans to Muhammed Ali, but we have to work with what we've got.

My grade school football coach was a former Bear.

He loved using the term "grab ass."

I think Papa Bear must have invented it.

Justin Fields looking better each day.

Luke Getsy's absence in Green Bay will be a problem for them this year.

Valdes Scantling still can't catch

you didn't have to tell me about Scantling. I already had a great read on him

It's making a lot of podcasts (Pivot) better. I'm so glad that a lot of guys are telling their own stories and driving their own conversations.

Oddly enough I am really looking forward to the new Hard Knocks. And am rooting for Dan Campbell and the Lions.

Do you have faith in Andy Dalton as QB1?

I don't need to. My guy will win comeback player of the year en route to another playoff run.

I can't remember a Bears camp that had this many injuries. Eberflus better let up on his 'Get your track shoes on' mantra or they'll be signing local junior college players soon.

Colleen Kane
@ChiTribKane
Bears taking WR David Moore off the field on a cart after he was injured in 1 on 1s. Looked like he wasn't putting weight on his right leg.

Doesn’t Jameis have to make it to the playoffs once before he can have “another” playoff run?

These guys were just delaying the injuries with the country club approach.

He's with us. He shares in our playoff appearances. Unlike other places

The Bears Power ranking somehow got worse. The good news is that it's only up from here or a Number 1 overall pick is on the horizon.

32
Chicago Bears
Chicago Bears
Previous rank: No. 30

We’d all like to see Justin Fields take a big leap in Year 2, but it’s hard to ignore the troubling state of the Bears’ wide receiver group. Darnell Mooney is locked in as the No. 1 option after a 1,000-yard season, but recent injuries to Byron Pringle (quad) and N'Keal Harry (ankle) have moved this positional group into DEFCON 1 emergency territory. It would not be a surprise to see general manager Ryan Poles add a veteran off the street. Fields was not put in position to succeed as a rookie, and the state of Chicago's roster has us concerned that 2022 won’t be much better.

Will be watching Saturday with great interest, mostly to see if they look at least competent running their base packages and for where they have guys lined up on the oline.

This year is all about identifying the guys that will contribute two to three years from now then the team should be better if, and that is a big if, the plan Poles is putting in place actually works.

The initial plan seems to include not dipping into next year's cap room/draft capital to improve this year's team.

They already have (seemingly arrogantly) made calls on a few guys who either do not fit the systems, or are not buying into the new coaching regimes approach, the latter is not surprising given the..here it comes and I know you guys love this..country club grab ass culture under Nagy where guys did very little to stay in shape and practices were just for Nagy to break in new visors and make the Denny's Menu play cards full of plays that never worked in practice or games.

A junior college player might be better than David Moore.

he is 2 years due for this now, so hope he can stay healthy. not sure i like hill being put into a secured role again. this time as a TE. he's a swiss army knife. he's better when he's not pinned down to a single category.

Yeah. Hearing Michael Thomas being almost giddy yesterday and watching Tampa seemingly falling apart in critical areas has given me extended hope.

Now if we can just get the Kamara crap out of the way...
