100% true. I can live with physical mistakes which are going to happen over a long season. The mental errors are just brutal. At this point I laugh at them, but the amount of times they fuck themselves over due to their own stupidity is absurd.

You answered none of my questions and addressed zero of my points, LTG.

Go back to not posting in this section. The only thing worse than the Sox performance yesterday was your own.

You aren't a true Sox fan.

LTG loves to make things. Pretty sure I've never rooted for death to come upon Jerry. I have said that nothing is likely to change with the Sox until he dies or sells. This season proves it as any legitimate management group would have shit canned the manager and started making trades weeks ago.

But Frank, they are only 3 back and getting better at calling pop flies.

They are 15th in pitching, 18th in OPS, 28th in defense, 4th in OOB(outs on bases).

The manager and the organization as a whole allow these dumb moves to be acceptable. There is no accountability. They ran the bases like jagoffs under Ventura as well.

Actually, baserunning is hard. There's a certain instinctual talent to it. But here's the thing. Staying put may cost you a run, but not an out. Being a wanderer can cost you both.

Hard to believe Leury Garcia has been on this team since 2013. He will have been paid $27m by the White Sox and has a career WAR of 4.2 (5 of 11 seasons negative WAR) and an OPS+ of 77. Too bad he can't steal bases as well as he has stolen from the Sox. I assume he's a good clubhouse guy, in which case the best thing they could do would be to DFA his ass and send a message to the rest of the team.

Leury is the perfect 24th or 25th guy on the roster because he can play just about everywhere. He should start at most one game per week. Old school managers often have a veteran toolsie type guy that they fall in love with and overuse. See Timo Perez, JB Shuck, etc.

Leury's first year on the Sox he appeared in 73 games with 155 at bats. His numbers every year should look similar to that.

I get what you are saying. To be a really good baserunning team is hard. But no one is asking for that here. Just be an average baserunning team would be a great benefit. The things the Sox are struggling with on the bases are not that hard.

Forget about the execution. This team is built so IT DOESN'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT RUNNING BASES.

The problem is organizational. It goes beyond one manager. There's this lingering fascination with the Go Go Sox. A team that played in a GIGANTIC park where scoring runs was at a premium.

There is no need for the 2022 White Sox to have this obsession with being aggressive on the bases. Stand on the fucking bag and wait for the next guy to homer or double off the wall. Stop trying to scrape across runs as if you're the 1906 or 1967 White Sox.

Most guys, yes. Robert and Anderson don't just have speed, they seem to be pretty good base stealers. Sure, let those guys try and swipe a bag.

Everybody else should have a two step lead and unless a ball goes to the backstop, they stay put near the bag until the ball is put in play.

There is no differentiation between the what you post and what CB and Brogue "other" than the "fact" that they happen to be witty and much better literary skills than you. You are a joke and a "pretend" White Sox fan. The only thing they happen to do for dopes like you is give you another excuse to be shitty and miserable.

Sox are a .500 team and 3 games out of first in their division. .500 isn't "trash", it's mediocrity. And the World Series this year will not be won in July either. They have 64 games to right the ship. And with Baseball it really doesn't matter who the best team happens to be record wise either come playoff time. Its which team is playing the "best baseball" come playing time. Anyone that actually "knows' baseball knows this. The Sox have a legitimate shot to make the playoffs, which is all that really matters now.

Robert 11-13. Engel 10-12. Anderson 12-12. Those are really the only guys who should be stealing.

The analytics is over my head as far as RS and runs prevented by stealing bases and being caught stealing.
Obviously 90% is a good stat but does it mean anything when you steal less than 2/3 of the teams? I would guess the yankees are better off with their 65 and 79% but I really don't know. Cuz it's all about crossing home plate.

Can't turn an aircraft carrier on a dime. The stats and the wins over the last 170+ games are fact. Can you show me the list of champs and WS participants who've won less than 90 games? I'm going to guess, 1.

We'll talk again if the Sox finish 41-23 or better. Or even Aug 15, when they're done with the bums.

Wrong. This has happened a number of times in baseball. Most specifically with the 2005 White Sox that guys like Ballpark Frank are so proud to "claim" that he was a fan of. He would have been bellyaching the entire second half of the season had he been able to post and bring his brand of "misery" here at the time. So would you apparently.
