Not really pissed at Nagy, he is an always will be a goof, but the "Bears Media", now that's a different story.

You could say the "Bears Media" was exposed as hapless goofs by the way they defended and protected Nagy, but that would be an insult to hapless goofs.

Wow, those pictures completely explain Matt Nagy, the dude's level of narcissism would easily qualify him for mental illness disability.

He's a salesman; he was playing to the meatball crowd. The T-formation and all of that was great when the Bears were winning.

Even though just a few blocks away, Ryan Pace lived much more modestly. He just sold for 1.4M.

He also made significantly less money than Nagy.

I kind of want (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky to stop bitching and complaining about Nagy until he has success and is established with another team or when his career is over. That being said, I imagine Justin Fields agrees with (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. Nagy was awful.

Mitch should STFU. Somebody in PR or his own agent needs to tell him to just give a blanket non answer answer.

"I've learned a lot about myself and the game since I left Chicago. I appreciate the opportunity I had with the Bears, but now I'm focused on helping (current team) win."

Mitch played quote poorly at times and did not do himself any favors here.

Why should his agent do that? It was clear while (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky was still here that Nagy was misusing him. All in all what (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky said was pretty mild.

His focus should be on the Steelers. I'm not sure that bitterness is productive. He's getting an opportunity because the best organization in football believes Nagy was the problem.

Because he is supposed to be a professional quarterback and is on his second team since he left the Bears. It comes across as whining at this point. Be better and just move on.

Edit; Nas said it better than I did.

It isn't whining. He was highly critical of himself too in an article where a reporter is talking to him about how he has changed since he was in Chicago for an article in large part about that very thing.

Let me guess. You actually clicked the link and saw the critiques (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky had about himself about his performance in Chicago.

Nope, there are more and more peeps on the "Nagy is/was a fraud bandwagon", even the defensive guys are talking about how the new coaches are actually holding them accountable for paying attention in meetings and actually finishing plays.

The anger toward Mitch is misplaced, he is just being honest along with all the other players about what a trainwreck Nagy was as a coach, your ire should be directed toward George and Ted who were seemingly the only two people in the known universe that actually thought it was a good idea to keep Nagy on as HC, don't hate the people that are finally allowed to give you the real story, and keep this in mind whenever your hear the hapless collection of goofs at WSCR or the members of the intellectually flaccid "Bears Media" tell you anything about the Bears, the NFL, or football in general.

I'm not sure if there is a bigger (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky fan in this community than I am. I get his frustration. I was screaming Nagy was the problem for years. I just don't believe that he should answer any questions about the Bears or Nagy while he's fighting for a starting job and his career. It's wasted energy. He should say what Frank suggested earlier.

If he believes that it's going to motivate him, give him an edge he isn't alone. I know damn well what that's like. Still do it myself every so often.

If continuing to bash Nagy in the media is what he needs for motivation, I wouldn't want him as a QB on my team.

That's kinda how I feel. He's human so I don't expect him to not be bothered by his experience with Nagy. I don't expect him not to feel great about his experience in Buffalo either. If I'm Tomlin, I would prefer every comment coming out of his mouth to be Steelers related.

He can and maybe should be bothered by his Bears experience. He can have a Nagy voodoo doll for all I care. He can and perhaps should use it has motivation in private. Continuing to bash the Bears and Nagy-- who we all know are a dumpster fire-- at press conferences makes him seem petty and childish. At some point you move on and be grateful that you will have made almost $17 million since you last threw a pass for the Bears.

As you alluded to, my vanilla quote above would be the perfect way for him to answer a Bears question, and after a couple of non answer answers the Bears questions would stop being asked of him.

He was talking to a reporter doing a story on how he has changed from Chicago and (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky blamed himself too. He didn't just randomly start bashing Nagy.

Does this even qualify as "bashing"? Especially when juxtaposed with the Parcells comparison.

“Even if you got a completion [in Chicago], I felt like sometimes it wasn’t necessarily what the coach wanted. They put you in a box a little bit more than you wanted to be, and I think that restricts you as a player. It’s just different experiences. In the end, we still won games. It’s just different team to team.”

And it’s interesting that he used the “box” metaphor there because it’s one, I’m told, the Bills’ coaches used with him. To explain how they wanted him to play, they told the story of how Bill Parcells would coach quarterbacks. “Here’s your box,” Parcells would say, and inside the box was all the quarterback’s reads and rules and fundamentals. Then, he’d say, the great quarterbacks are the ones who can step out of that box and know when to step out of that box to make it work.

Matt Nagy wanted it done his way. Period
