We're supposed to have confidence in the Bears chances because Lance threw three interceptions in a practice?

Three interceptions is like one drill's worth of work for Fields.

Yup, he'll be a viable receiver once he actually learns how to catch and run routes effectively.

He's done a nice job catching this pre season. He will make a roster once he can comfortably be counted on for ST. He's muffed a couple of punts (one of which his teammate was blocked in to him)

He will be completely out of the league by November.

Yeah, I think being the first cut from the worst receiving corps in the NFL will be a strong selling point on his resume.

The 49ers are hiding him. He looked awful last year and generally gets a pass because of his overrated coach.

The 49ers are going to do the same thing with Lance that the Bears are going to do with Fields.

He has to learn how to catch first.

With his hands.

Not up against his body

No, we are supposed to have confidence in the Bears because they have Deebo 2.0

Eberflus said the starters will play a half. I'm good with this.

I am starting to get the feeling that Midge isn't very confident in this Bears edition.

How could any Bears fan be confident? They have next to zero high quality talent on offense including an unproven QB and a rookie head coach. We can only hope this year reveals which players on the roster are NFL quality and whether Fields is good enough to take them to the playoffs down the road.

They have tons of cap space next year and will be able to fill holes quickly.

I think this defense can be really good if they stay relatively healthy. I've liked what I've seen from the old and young guys on defense who are linebackers.

I have no clue what to expect on offense. I think they will be able to run the ball. I don't feel confident Mooney can consistently beat #1 corners.

I may bet them to have the worst record in the league at 10-1

I don't see 5 wins and I could see them easily going 3-14, I'd be shocked if Fields starts over 12 games

Hard not to argue.

Yup I agree totally. We are so happy to be rid of Mitch and Nagy, that anything looks better than that shitshow.

The organization still sucked under Lovie, but you got basic competence out of him. He was curt and short with the media, but you never questions his motives or if he was in charge. Bears have been a complete trainwreck since they canned him.

The players played their asses off for Lovie. Those teams either overachieved or at least played to their potential. Lovie made in game mistakes like with time outs, but you were at least knew you had a chance each week.

I want to power rank the Bears at 31 or 32 and call this a 3 win season, but the NFL still has the Falcons, Texans, and Jaguars. Not only that....this year's Seahawks look to be pretty fucking awful.

They'll finish at the bottom of the NFC North but this Bears team just might pull off 5 or 6 wins this year. That's a nice record which keeps us all in Football hell.

Bears playing their starters 50% in the last pre-season game is interesting. I guess this is what happens when you have an eager beaver-FLUS as head coach who told players to get their track shoes on. Too many injuries and the starters didn't get enough work together. H.I.T.S. though.

The Bears play the Browns every pre-season, so there must be some kind of arrangement with ownership. Maybe both teams agreed not to blitz.

They didn't play them last year. The short travel has been part of the deal.

Fields is still missing open receivers. I'll wait to see how he performs in the last preseason game, but it doesn't look like he's made the necessary progress this offseason. The Bears may be in the market for a new quarterback next offseason.
