Was watching this the other day and it dawned on me that they wouldn't let you make this movie today. WAY too politically incorrect!

In other news, water is wet, and society has no sense of humor anymore.

Love Blazing Saddles. I generally hate remakes, but I'd love someone to try and do it just to get the handwringing out of the dipshits.

I watched The Lion King the other day with my kids, and was incredulous that Disney found it necessary to include a disclaimer before the movie, warning of offensive depictions. Afterwards I looked up what was so controversial: apparently the laughing hyenas are problematic as they portray negative stereotypes of people "on the other side of the tracks."

To be fair, I think the way that white people are portrayed in Blazing Saddles is a bit problematic.

i watched some old SNL episodes from the 70s/80s/90s and i feel there is no other show that has so relentlessly reminded everyone that racism exists over the past 40 years.

‘ The Toy” seems problematic, although I admit it’s been decades since I’ve seen it.

You could make the movie in this time period but it would have to stream directly to Fox Nation or whatever strange conservative movie studio that seemingly makes a product that is only "Remember Gina Carano who got fired from Disney because she couldn't stop posting to Twitter? Well, we cast her in some movie that no one will see".

I love him but Mel Brooks' humor seems stuck in the Borscht Belt days.

I've always felt the same way about Seinfeld, Larry David and Garry Shandling. But I've never found them drop dead funny.

Funny, but not usually laugh out loud funny.

If it’s actually funny anything is fair game.

The moment tropic thunder came out people started with the same stuff. The hard part is being funny.
